Just read that. It's an intersesting idea and certainly something to consider. It's nice to see that the club are continuously thinking about those that saddly passed away.

For me that is a great touch. Really really good to know our club is thinking about the fans.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I am not sure about this.
            Pros and cons.
            Have to think about it.

The form the memorial should take is up to the families of the 96, IMO.
If they feel it fitting that the 96 should have this kind of memorial, and it is feasible, then so be it.

It goes without saying that some style of memorial (be it the present one, empty seats or something else) should be integrated into the new stadium.

Which cons, if I may ask? (Please not 'New stadium, we need to move on')

I think it's a great idea and as AFII said, makes me proud to be a Liverpool supporter.

Of course we should remember, and we do. I'm not sure leaving seats empty is a particularly good idea though.

I wonder about the logistics of it....if there are empty seats in the shape of 96, it stands to reason that there will be people sitting around the nine and the six, as well as in the top of the nine, and in the bottom of the six. It seems impractical.

But, as I said above, the only concern is that the shape and form of the memorial is acceptable to the families and the club.

I'd also wonder how many people would actually respect it enough to keep the seat empty

I'm sure you'd get the odd dickhead sitting in one of the seats, which in turn would get a reaction from those around them etc...

Personally I think the families should be consulted as to what they want.

This imo is a nice suggestion but the practicalities of it does raise some questions

Another con is that many people would feel a bit uncomfortable sitting next to one of the seats. You wouldn't want all those bad memories coming back every match. Rushian on RAWK had a good idea that 96 seats should be free and should be given to different local schools each match. That's a better idea IMHO as it gives something to the community rather than just making a statement
