Nice Touch - 96 Empty Seats

Have 96 seats around the dugout areas.

Another con is that many people would feel a bit uncomfortable sitting next to one of the seats. You wouldn't want all those bad memories coming back every match. Rushian on RAWK had a good idea that 96 seats should be free and should be given to different local schools each match. That's a better idea IMHO as it gives something to the community rather than just making a statement

I'd also wonder how many people would actually respect it enough to keep the seat empty

I'm sure you'd get the odd dickhead sitting in one of the seats, which in turn would get a reaction from those around them etc...

Personally I think the families should be consulted as to what they want.

This imo is a nice suggestion but the practicalities of it does raise some questions

the memorial every april reminds us of that tragic day and they will not be forgotten . the idea of the 96 lights sounds like a good idea but this malarkey of 96 empty seats at anfield will have the feeling of a makeshift cemetry.

At first I thought it was a real special touch but after reading this thread I think the idea of the 96 lights is much better along with a memorial outside the stadium. Liverpool fans wouldnt like to sit beside the 96 seats and you couldnt put it anywhere near the away section for obvious reasons.

I don't know. I really like the idea of the 96 empty seats. I also like the idea of those seats being empty and reserved for schools etc. 96 lights? Good idea also.

Whatever they'll do, it is going to be special. So I'm not even bothered with that.

Not been on for a few days, could put the lights round the roof of the stadium maybe on the kop side or something so they stand out particularly on an evening match
