Whats embarrassing? The fact that a player wants to join us,a fee which has been set by a selling club met, and a signed document given to a player saying likewise should hold no meaning?

Why shouldn't we feel hard done by?

Forgetting football for second,in any other walk of life, this surely couldn't happen. If an employer thinks that your not good enough for the job and gets in a replacement for you,you have the right to find youself a job wherever and with whoever you like.Surely thats just basic human rights,no?

Thats the problem Rafa has with this whole thing. It's only because it's man utd that the prem lge have failed to rule in the players favour.

Just look at the whole Tevez thing, the whole thing stinks. We didn't deal with a third party in order for us to sign Mascha.West ham tore up any contractual agreement they had with the player which meant only one party held his registration which was the company represented by Kia Joorabchian therefore we only had to deal with them.West ham blatantly lied about the deals and were found guilty. The reason they were only fined and not docked points was because they said tevez was actually there player and no other party was involved with him.Now he signs for utd on loan with a view to a permanent move and west ham don't get a penny. How is that possible if the players worth £20-30m?I really hope that sheffield utd take there case as far as they can.But it will prove to be a waste of time.

Why shouldn't we fight for something we believe in?Why do you call it winging, say it's embarrassing?Embarrassing to who?

In fact i find your post a little embarrassing tbh, that you are actually a liverpool fan.

Not overly fussed on Heinze either way, but even if there was no truth in the Palace thing, I'd love it if it put an idea in Rafa's head.

Lets say someone like our new pals Atletico put in a £3m bid and United are forced to accept to get rid. Once all the paperwork is complete, we come in with a £4m bid and Atletico pocket £1m for their troubles.

Not likely, but it automatically make Heinze my all time favourite player.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I applaud Rafa here, he has tried to do things with respect and dignity and he obviously feels he has not received any benefit from that while he has watched Chelsea & The Mancs use intimidatory tactics both on and off the field and they are receiving benefits.

He's decided to draw a line in the sand and do a Jose. Its seige mentality from now on and i love it. Keeps the players focused on whats important, winning every game and keeps them unified at the same time.

No doubt though, the events of the last 2 days have riled Rafa and he sounds pissed

The agreeement to agree point is interesting. I'm assuming they're saying there was no consideration on behalf of Heinze to make this a legally binding contract? If that's their concern then if they wanted to decide it in our favour I am sure they could have found a creative way to dismiss this issue, perhaps by arguing that Heinze has relied on the promise in trying to secure a move to us.
It sounds very similar to the letter that Kewell's agent had that enabled us to get him against the wishes of Leeds i.e. if you can get an offer of £Xm you can go..

Yep, only difference is Leeds were honourable and stuck to their word. Scum on the other hand ...

TBH without seeing both letters you can't make that assumption. One word could make all the difference and we have no idea of the exact wording of either letter. The FA/PL will make sure that never happens, in any decision they have to make. Thats how how they retain absolute power.

                          RAFA's not happy

Having read Rafa'a rants today i am happy, its about time we started fighting our corner. Being Mr Nice Guy and expecting to be treated accordingly is failing badly. So credit to Rafa for changing tack and letting them know we are not happy.

What i am worried about is that Rafa has felt the need to do this. Is he happy about working in an environment that basically encourages poor performance. Rafa has to complain to get a response, discussing it has no effect. He may fight the corner but if nothing happens, which if we are honest is odds on to happen.............could Rafa pull the pin in disgust.

Edit: disgust at the FA/PL lack of action.

There is already a whole thread discussing this, and did you not take part in the discussion?
