If that's the case then it's writing on the wall for him (sadly)
Does seem a bit weird, especially given Rafa is keen on fresh players and Crouch hasnt even left England this week.

Yeah it's strange - would we know about his omission this soon too? The more I think/hear about Crouch's situation, then the more I think that he wont be here come January 31st, or even August 31st

I think this is the perfect Crouchie game. In't that whay we bought him in the 1st place? For those dirty games where he can offer something different?

For me the best looking line up would be:

            -------------Reina----------------
            Finnan----Carra---Agger----Riise
            ------------Mash---------------
            Jerm-------Benny----------Babel
            ----------Crouch---------------
            -----------Torres--------------

Subs: Crow, Momo, Arbeloa, kewell, Alonso

Why play Hyypia? I luv the guy, but Agger is our man now. We need him to play every game until we solidify our team better.

              Finnan--Carra----Agger-----Riise
              --------------Masch------------
              Pennant-------Momo-----Kewell
              ----------Kuyt-----------------
              ------------Torres-------------

Momo is the unusual choice but he needs a game. Also Kewell who i am guessing is ready, probably wrong though.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I can't imagine that Crouch will still be here next summer if he is left out two times out of three from the starting XI but it's still early in the season.

Torres will probably play almost every game and then it's only one place left upfront.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                    I'm dreading this midfield:

                    Pennant-Alonso-Masch-Riise

If Gerrard is out, I hope Rafa brings in a more attacking winger on the left.
