Eire didn't create too many chances. We scored from 4 of about 7 chances and Wagger had no part to play in any of them. His defensive partners and keeper were destroyed.
Your country has chosen to add your native name to their EU titles i.e.
In 2006 it was announced that the Republic of Ireland would use nameplates bearing Éire and Ireland at European Union meetings from 2007. This change was made at the same time as the adoption of Irish as a working language of the European Union as of 1 January 2007.[7]
Fwiw, I have always used Eire innocently, wiki seems to indicate it is the native tongue name for both your country and the whole island. Surely you should be proud of its use rather than using english words instead.
Exactly what he said. It's fine to call it Eire which is exactly why the government went to the considerable hassle of getting the E.U. to recognise it.I don't know any Irish people who get offended by our country being refererred to by its name in our native tongue. As for the game, the danish keeper was muck and never gave his team a chance. That is all.
We dont get offended whatever you call us cos we're Irish. Irish = international credit card... welcomed wherever we go with open arms cos with us you're guaranteed booze, banter and craic and maybe even a few nice cailini to massage your knob.
God its great being Irish. People expect us to be drunk.

It`s great, they get so diiappointed if you stay sober,i feel sorry for them and drink just to make them happy.
I've never heard an Irish person refer to Ireland as Eire, but it wouldn't really offend me if they or someone else did.
It's Ireland as far as I'm concerned, and occasionally the Republic of Ireland.
Didn't see the game.
When I was at School I had to play a geography game with this Kid ,I pointed at the southern part of Ireland and asked what it was called ,he replied "Fire" , I nearly pissed myself laughing, and before you ask I wasnt in the dumb class ,this was before the dumb kids are seperated into their own class !!!
