Seems to do it a lot to me, he's not been massively successful at finding passes but he has dragged fullbacks inside and centre backs over a lot for me. With an attacking, naturally left sided, fullback his side I think he would be a big benefit for our team.

He looks to me a bit like Pennant did before he found his form, a little hesitant and takes too long to make decision but other than that I like him as a player. He doesn't look entirely comfortable on the left but he makes a decent fist of the role for me.-

      That's a fair shout....

I just hope Pennant can start scoring goals this season, because if he does he's going to be one hell of a player.

He was doing some little drag backs towards the end of the first half near the touchline that absolutely took the piss out of 2 Mackem defenders. He's by no means the finished article yet but you can definitely see there's potential there. Any comparisons with Henry are wide of the mark though, despite the fact he looked pretty similar to Babel when he first arrived

there was one point when he ripped the piss out of three sunderland players, think it was their LB, LW and one of the CM's, dribbled it through all of them had to go back on himself a bit but still kept the ball. He also did it v Toulouse as well when he walked the ball through a few players on the edge of their box.

He'll be fine but I do think it'll take him a few months to settle, also doubt Sunderland Away was the best choice for his first prem start

Babel did go missing in the second half but then played a vital part in the second goal, his pace away from home on breaks like that is why Rafa signed him imho, overall very happy with yesterday, and (touch wood) we really do seem to be in with a shout this season, if we finish above Chelsea i think we will win it.
This place is becoming optimistic......scares me a bit.

Should have won by more. Torres will pick up the pace and his finishing in a few weeks. We looked comfortable, didn't look like conceding, pretty solid, just worried about centre backs.

Torres pace is frightening. He will scare the **** out of defender all over Europe. After seeing Spurs get robbed in Old Toilet today Rio and Vidic were a bit lost at sea at times, Torres should rip them two and the rest apart.

Good solid performance yesterday. Pennant superb, Voronin is a legend and Momo was simply Boss. Would love to see Masher play more, hopefully he'll get a shirt Tuesday. Once again we'll achieve special things this year
