with our transfer business this summer. It would have been good if we could have got a rb cover (JK was never good enough) and I was hoping for ALves. But I was even more pleased that we pulled the plug after Sevilla started ****ing us about.

Given that I think Arsenal got the weaker part of the Baptista/Reyes deal and have not brought in any decent/real cover for their team, that the Mancs spunked 18mill on Carrick and then sold RVN and that the chavs have brought in a load of players who they will struggle to accomodate (cant see Ballack as a L/W or Lampard having the nous to play anywhere else) I think we did well.

Strenghtened where needed and cut loose alot of the weaker squad members.

Ok we've no real cover for Finnan but several players who can play there if needed and do a good job of it.

I can't think of a single player,who when put into the team now,I go **** not him!

We have a really strong squad now, but - unlike many of you who were blinded by his apparent cuntishness as a person - I was really hoping to get Neill in.

Great point, who would have thought in 2 short seasons we would have a team full of ball players with good mentality. The Rafalution is nearly complete

Agreed Rafa has carried out a huge cull. He was brave enough to ship out the players he brought if they weren't good enough (JK/Morientes) and got Cisse out despite the injury along with a host of other big earners and reserves who hadn't cut the mustard. The squad has changed immensley since 2004.

Arsenal have also lost Bergkamp,Pires and Campbell though....they may not have played a lot lost season but all were integral to there success

I don't know enough about him as a player mate to be honest.

My major gripe was mals saying that he was better then Finnan.

I'll pay more attention to him know during the season,although I think that may be the end of it.

Rafa has a habit of buying what he needs to get by,until he can get what he wants,IMO Lucase Neils was such a buy.

Although he is withoubt doubt a cnutish person, its actually his footballing skills I dont rate, one bit.
I still think he might buy his contract out to be honest and still come here. IF he does, then no-one will be happier than me if he makes me look a complete bellend and turns out to be good

Imagine Cole at LB and Gallas at either CB/rb, tantalising! But I think the deal for Arsenal evens itself out for them. got shot of Cole and got a player of a similar quality/status in place. Dont think Rosicky and Baptista will tear up too many trees this season.

You may be right about Rosicky as he is a little lightweight but that can hardly be levelled at Baptista he may surprise a few people. IMHO Van Persie already replaced Bergkamp, Rosicky will replace Pires and Gallas replaces Campbell. I actually hope Arsenal come second this year cos they arent the mancs or Chelsea.
