Torres has only scored three. Omg what a waste of 20 million quid. We need another striker now, i think we should get in for andy johnson in january.

They all seem to grab the chance when they play, and net.

And Voronin has exceeded my expectations by miles.

Rafa's ideology about each striker getting 15 goals...i didnt think it was possible due to a lack of sufficient match time. But maybe it is?

Fecking great to see & reminds me of the scum when they had Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and OGS. They all seemed to score when they got a game too. Only difference is, our quartet is better

Just need Kuyt to get off the mark in the league now - sharpish, otherwise he'll have to make way. I think he's been playing well enough generally to justify his place in the side, but he needs to start scoring. 3 starts and one sub appearance in the league so far.

Obviously Crouch needs to get off the mark in the league too but for that to happen he needs to play. He's had seven minutes of action in the league this season.

I believe they can all get around 15 each, and I think Torres will get 20+ in all comps.
Biggest difference this year for me in the performances on the pitch is the workrate. All the players are now willing to work harder due to the quality on the bench and in the rest of the squad, just to try and keep their place.
Even when we are coasting, the lads just seem to outwork their opponents.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

no offence but I can only see babel out of that lot scoring goals

I doubt Dirk will ever score more than 15 goals (in all comps) in a season for us.

If Kuyt is his regular strike partner that does put pressure on Torres, but it's pressure El Nino. looks like he can handle
Dirk definitely needs to sharpen up in front of goal. However, by my reckoning, from 4 starts this season he has 2 goals and 3 assists, if he keeps that ratio up, with someone like Torres around to regularly find the back of the net, I'd be happy enough with him come the end of the season.
