I fully appreciate that a few on here are in that section, but do they not realise that their efforts are counter-productive? The atmosphere in my section (block 206) was worse yesterday because of the endless boring songs being dredged up from the 60s and 70s by that group. I know the kenny song, I just have no interest in singing it now in 2007, when the team needs our support and we haven't even got songs for the likes of Pennant, Babel, Voronin, Reina, Arbeloa, Kuyt etc. that are sung regularly enough. And some of the steward baiting belonged back in primary school.

Then don't take them into the Kop?

It's a known fact, that if you want to sit for most/all of the game, go into the main stand.

Don't go in the Kop and expect to sit down for the match. The Kop creates the atmosphere that the rest of the ground follows.

Make them sit down, and it's bollocks to that.

****s sake... and people wonder why the atmosphere is ****e on occasion.

So how do people get tickets in this magical block?

Or is it by invitation only? *snigger again*

I've missed something here haven't I - is it when I was away in the summer?

We're 'allowed' to stand at some aways but not others. We're allowed to stand on European nights, but not others, It's 'safe' to stand up when we've scored a goal, for a corner, or at half time, but not during play.

It's all bollocks. Safe standing areas are the only way forward.

I would have thought the club would lose revenue with the space that takes.

Exactly - this "we are the only proper fans" attitude is pathetic.

You'll never get away with irreverence like that.

                    All together now: Block 1892

i'm not in the 'special' block but as a seasie on the Kop for many years I think i'ts a good way forward. I'm the other side to calvoboy [block 201] and the singing over near us is always good anyway, but yesterday I could see the start of a regeneration of atmosphere for the ****e games such as Derby that usually create the 'morgue' like silence we've all been railing against for ages.

                        Give the lads a break.

                        It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
                        Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

A few times, I have come home and found my knees actually bleeding from rubbing on the seat in front. And I'm only 5ft 11. It is ridiculous.

Should be obvious, shouldn't it ?

Standing isnt allowed regardless of where you are. If you want to stand then dont go to Anfield or any premiership ground. Should be obvious shouldnt it?

Sitting does not stop the atmosphere, think you are lost in this. I believe that singing irrelevent songs or ones that are no longer known is part of the problem. We should have a proper song for every player and try to sing them.
