    They are probably after someone with a **** load of experience, but I thought I'd give you a heads up nonetheless, just in case.

    Salary £17,555 - £20,148pa

    Trinity Mirror Sport Media is a magazine and book publishing unit based in Old Hall Street, Liverpool, who partners both Everton and Liverpool football clubs.

    We require a talented writer who can research, plan and produce features with authority and passion across a string of football specials.

    Our candidate will be a fully qualified journalist who has a grasp of the history and tradition of our big football clubs, who understands the fans and has good knowledge of the stars past and present.

    We want someone who has the ability to write quickly, accurately and confidently across a range of football related topics.

    you will be self driven while having the benefit of a vastly experienced sports team behind you. So if you believe you can write a focused football special from start to finish, we want to hear from you now.

                    Yeah they can be expensive but you can always use whats left over to pay for the dock for you're boat in Monaco

                      What's the average wage in the North West? That seems quite low regardless. I hope they're not trying it on and trying to exploit the applicants' love of football/the club.

                          A lot of my friends who did writing work after uni got paid less than that. There is a surfeit of people willing to do the jobs so until you have proved your worth people get paid a pittance. Considering the fact it is ideal in terms of subject that would seem a very attractive first break into journalism to me.
