          Looks like Heskey.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It's true I personally could waste several happy hours here.

However, A new mattress was delivered today so I'm off to road test my missus on it.

I was at the friendly Tony Barratt speaks of, sadly it wasnt televised, but Valencia were truly awesome, we were literally outplayed, outpassed and outran.

As it was a friendly I think they took things a bit easy, but you always had the feeling that they could score at will if they really wanted to.

It was one of those games where you mumble about only pre season etc, but deep down you know you were toyed with and humiliated.

I look forward to watching the new "Crushing Machine" humiliating a good few teams this year...................... and the scum are top of my list!
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

You dont see **** like that ever, no ****er could have competed with them that night. No shame in being on the end of that skill.
the barca game was different from the valencia games, in the barca owen and heskey contrived to miss sitter after sitter after sitter that game should have been buried before barca became interested in it once they scored they went from strength to strength, in the valancia game we didn't have a sniff, I've never seen liverpool humilated in such a one sided match.

As soon as the Benitez rumours began circulating there was no other manager I wanted at Liverpool, and that was based on the European Cup lesson Valencia taught us at Anfield.

If it had been a boxing match, they would have stopped the fight well before half-time, they made us look like a conference side.

And if there were any doubts about the influence of Rafa on that team, you only have to look at what they have done since he left.

And I don't think Rafa had Villa.

It was very frustrating ... And I think they have scored right after totally humiliating us with their pass game
It was something like 30 plus passes and then the goal.
I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best, isn't very nice

I remember being at that game in 2003 and thinking exactly the same. Just like being at the Mestalla the previous September in the Champions League when Rafa's Valencia gave us a footballing lesson like I've never seen before. Again the score was only 2-0 but it could have double or treble that amount.

                            Houllier's strike plan backfires

And again the following month when Los Che beat us 1-0 at home:

                            Valencia leave Liverpool on edge

I think that friendly at Anfield was what convinced Moores and Parry that Rafa was the man to succeed Houllier.

might be, they tore us apart in the mestailla and even at Anfield we culdnt get the ball off them.

jeez, look at the teamsheets from the CL match

Liverpool (4-4-2): Dudek; Carragher (Cheyrou, 82), Traoré, Hyypia, Riise; Gerrard, Diao, Hamann, Murphy (Smicer, 61); Heskey (Baros, 61), Owen.

Valencia (4-4-1-1): Canizares; Curro Torres, Marchena, Pellegrino, Carboni; Rufete, Albelda, Baraja, Kily Gonzalez (Vicente, 88); Aimar (Angulo, 68); Carew (Mista, 79).

                                Referee: T Hauge (Norway).

and somewhat bizarrely, the article describes Diao as "outstanding"
