    derby and kuyt

KUYT CAN'T WAIT FOR DERBY DEBUT
    Paul Eaton 02 September 2006
The game may still be another week away, but Dirk Kuyt is already relishing the prospect of making his derby debut against Everton next Saturday.
Liverpool's new Dutch striker has international business to attend to with Holland first, but he admits he has already allowed his mind to wander towards next weekend's date at Goodison Park.

And having arrived at Anfield with a brilliant record of scoring in big games in Dutch football, Kuyt hopes he can immediately write himself into derby folklore with a goal against the Blues on Saturday.

"These are the games I love to play in," said Kuyt. "They just seem to bring the best out of me. I feed off the energy in the stands. At home when the fans are behind us I use their positive energy and I seem to find another few per cent. And I love going into the lion's den away from home when your every touch is booed by the rival supporters. It doesn't put me off, it actually inspires me.

"Ajax might be happy to see the back of me because I have scored six goals in my last six games against them, or something like that. I've done well against PSV Eindhoven as well over the years with Feyenoord so I hope I can carry that into our games with Everton.

"I'd like a goal against Everton to help me bond with the fans. I have seen Liverpool games against Everton on the television in Holland and they look amazing. Everyone in the stands is singing and the game is played very, very fast.

"It is a game I am looking forward to and I am sure it will be even better in the flesh than it is on TV."

Kuyt is going to replace Bellamy in my Fantasy Football team, as long as he doesn't get injured before the derby I was amazed he costs less.
rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.

1: Agger, Bellamy, Fowler, Alonso, Garcia

I always find we play best in the Derbies when we concentrate on football and not just mixing it up, in both cases everyone at the club seems capeable of doing both, apart from Diao that is. Although this Everton side wont be as easy to turn over that recent seasons though. Would love for Kuyt to start, himself Stevie and Bellamy seem to link well from the little we have seen.
Could Robbie possibly get a start maybe? being a legendary scouser and that?

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I'd play Fowler and Kuyt upfront. I think they would link up well! + I hope Momo is back! The only thing that worries me about the blue****e is Andy Johnson... I hope he'll be kept quiet by either Sami or Agger... And ofcourse, I hope that Stevie won't get sent off this time around

There's a case for playing Fowler against Everton.

He'll be very fresh, Crouch, Kuyt and Bellamy would have just played two games in a week.

Got to be Kuyt & Bellamy. Put the game to bed as early as we can. 4-1.

It saddens me to say it but Fowler is obviously our 4th choice striker and I can see him being on the bench at best.

Bellamy is a certainty, and it's 50/50 for me between Crouch and Kuyt. Crouchie is a course and distance winner at Woodison having scored a good goal there last season, and obviously he's bang in form at the moment, scoring goals every time he sets foot on a football pitch. Kuyt did look great when he came on last week but a frantic derby game may not be the game in which to give him his first start.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Get him (Kuyt) on, looks like the kind of player that gets stuck in, and then prob sent off in his first derby, instant hero status!

fowler and kuyt for me, would love to see robbie score against the bitters...

i think it will be a very hard game most difficult in some years now, they seem to be in good form, and we're not propperly started yet so, hope we thrash em though
