very tough away game to come back after the international break. the preparation has not been the best and getting a point is a good point. very disapointed with crouch who give us **** all, with all his rest and complaining he needs to step up sign a new contract of **** off with the drama.
pennant needs to get it thru his ****ing skull that these are the games he needs to dominate and until he does he will be talking england out of his arse for the rest of his career, very very poor.
benayoun was what i thought he would be, a squad player at best and if there is any more piping up from him or his ****ing agent ship the **** out in january(the **** better be careful what he wishes for)
rafa should of had the balls to pick his strongest team and keep the momentum going and keep the mindset of im gonna get a game anyway mentallity. gets anything less than 3 points in porto then todays sacrifice of resting players would not of been worth it imo

We've beaten Sunderland and Derby without Gerrard and Carragher and everyone and his dog were lauding our squad as fantastic. It wasn't our day today and Rafa has a point with the fact that it's difficult playing just after international matches, that's a fact and why we weren't at our best today.

The side was still a good side just not good enough to beat Pompey. If we had started with our best team then I think they were there for the taking.

Gerrard, Masher, Torres, Kuyt, Babel are all in our first 11. Why the **** didn't rafa rest them against brum at home next week instead. We were a joke going forward today. Absolutely no pace and movement from our front two, Crouch was awful, no wonder rafa never plays him. We only looked a threat when Torres and gerrard came on. Play our best 11, win the game and take some of them off when the game is won.... It's no good having a good squad if the keeps messing with the team. A couple of changes at best not ******* 5 from our front 6. Ferguson played his best 11 against Everton FFS!!!!!!

Still, we're unbeaten, but I sometimes don't understand Rafa ... He was craving for good players in 2004/05 when half of our team was dead or in hospital ... Now he has one of the greatest players in the world available, but he puts them on the bench. Weird guy this Rafa! Brum at home is much, much easier game than Pompey away ... Every manager in England knows that

Fratton Park is a very tough place to go at anytime.

A point was not a bad result considering coming off Internationals and the players having long trips plus the early start didnt help as alot came home thursday morning evening. Rafa didnt have alot of time to work wit the players.

I agree with that. We can't win every match and a point is a decent result but in my opinion they were there for the taking today and had we played our best eleven....well we'll never know now, will we?

I'm a bit dissapointed but only because I think that Rafa got the team selection wrong and the overall performance was pretty dire.

I dont think many played any good.

Torres and Stevie made more of a impression in the 10 or so mins they played then the rest did the whole match.

Reina did well also.

We cant win every match guys, would be worse if we were at home drawing with them
