Yeah but Crouch needs his teamates to play to a high standard so he can recieve high quality passes in the right places that allow him scoring chances.
How many killer passes from the best midfield in the world did Crouch latch onto.
Strikers need supply,Crouch got none today.

They both should have started today. Tired or otherwise.
That is SO spot on! I can't believe Rafa didn't see it that way.

Crouch is short of confidence. He should knuckle down and try to regain last season's form.

That quote is so ****ing worrying for me.

Forget the CL, concentrate on the Premiership. Pick your first 11 every premiership game and then rotate for the Champions league. Surely this has to be the way forward.

As for the second quote. Dear God, that quote is as delusional as Houllier was at his worst.

What's he meant to say? "We don't want to win the Champions League"?

He said as clearly as you like..."If there is one title for us to win this season it is the Premier League".

Kind of agree with your last statement, but the game would NOT have been a gimme had Torres & Gerrard started - which numerous posters today seem to think.

                        A wee bit OTT.

I still think rafa sucks balls away.

                            There's a lot of nut-cases around.

Last few weeks rotation has worked perfectly, today apparently our squad isn't good enough
                            Quote of the year :

however I do beieve we would have had a better game if Torres had started instead of Crouch. Don't think we would have needed Gerrard, just the one change and we would have created more chances.

The real problem today was the free kicks though, if we had of taken one of those chances our heads would have been raised, Pompey would have gone after the game a bit more and opened up. The waist of free kicks was criminal today.
