Liverpool to sign Daniel Sanchez Ayala

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has raided Spain again to lure Sevilla starlet Daniel Sanchez Ayala to Anfield.

The Spanish club have confirmed Ayala has agreed a deal to move to Merseyside after rejecting a professional contract at Sevilla.

Liverpool moved for the 17-year-old after learning he had not signed a professional contract with Sevilla and the Reds will have to pay Sevilla a compensation fee for his signature.

Ayala, who is highly-regarded at Sevilla, has been in the club's youth set-up and his performances have caught the attention of Benitez's Spanish scouts.

Sevilla are not happy at losing the young defender and he is the second teenager to be snared by Liverpool in recent years after Antonio Barragan was signed by Liverpool in 2005 in similar circumstances.

Liverpool are believed to have offered Ayala a three-year deal and he is expected to travel to England next week to tie up the move.

How strange. He's already in the youth squad on the latest update of Footy Manager.

You need to be registered on this site, I think, to download these updates.

This one should be updated as of the last transfer window.

Just what we need, another young player! Rafa has two time Youth Cup winners at his disposal and not one can get on the bench!

Not that strange. FM has the best scouting network in the world, not a joke.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
