      Rubbish.

I give you Phil Babb, John Scales and Steve Harkness. Clueless, utterly clueless.

      Razor wasn't much better either.

i doubt you could give them away..... John Scales and Andy O brien the only 2 top flight footballers ever to come out of Harrogate......and both ****e defenders

Its amazing how much dross we've had over the last few years, this thread is a perfect reminder of why we havent been close to winning the league in recent times.

Kirkland - His dad must be wondering if his bet will ever come in
            Diouf
            Cisse
            Le Tallec
            Morientes
            Kewell
            Ince

Obviously theres a load of other names but these players are the ones I thought could make a real difference to the team.

Talking of Heskey, I had the good fortune of meeting him socially once, what a top top guy, wonderful person but that chance against the mancs, Oh dear, Emile.

The first thing Emile did after receiving a pass would be to shout "****!, sorry lads"

His first touch was harder than my best shot.

Ian Rush, when he only scored 4 against the blue****e

rob jones, john scales, mark wright, neil ruddock, stig bjorbye (or macateer) was a decent defence.

i dont acccept that switching babb for ruddock makes it weaker.

james was the problem - and the managers decision to pick barnes and redknapp in front of it instead of thomas and redknapp or thomas and barnes

Pongolle and Le Tallec. All that hype. Rubbish.

Litmanen, though this one's all down to Ged. The ****ing idiot.

Heskey had a purple patch until the French hack destroyed his confidence by using him out wide.

Cisse was our record signing, many thought he was going to be mustard, those with sense knew he was ****e. Yes he had injuries but aside from that he was utterly mediocre, and at worst a liability, see Old Trafford 2 years ago.

Morientes had the quality, still can't work out why he didn't perform.

                        Biggest letdown:

Stan Collymore and Harry Kewell (Tied).

I thought we were going to win the league the summer Collymore signed, not all his fault of course - Defence? What Defence? - but I thought him and Robbie we're going to blow everyone else out of the water. They never hit it off. Shame.

Kewell. 70k a week, waste of space, always injured, except when there's a final or an Australia game. **** off.

You've got that bit wrong. They were a superb partnership - if memory serves me correctly, no other premiership duo have scored as many goals between them in a season. They almost hit the 50 mark didn't they?

Yeah, they were bloody brilliant together in 95/96. Fowler & Collymore hit 28 and 14 league goals respectively (along with 8 & 5 in cup comps).
