If somebody are interested in why, it has to do with salmon fishing rights.

Salmon fishing is serious stuff in Norway (for some).
Heggem owns part of one of the rivers, and it had something to do with a restriction on fishing.

You're right to say he wasn't the best defender and more of a wing-back/ right midfielder but wasn't he signed during the pre-season that Houllier joined as joint-manager?
