DJS lad...wtf is going on man?
Just when you think we're on our way to a bit of success we get a few ****ty results and we're back down to earth with a bang.
One may say some fans are over-reacting but FFS we should be beating teams like Pompey and Birmingham(at home especially)
None of this they played negative football ****e Birmingham, well yes they did but as i said earlier it's up to ourselves to overcome this and find a way through to goal.
    Very disappointing lads.

Yeah his policies are killing this club

      douchebag
      Couple of facts for you:

      The Premiership is highly competitive.

In order to win on a consistent basis, you need to use your best players more often than not.

Torres is our most potent attacking threat and has failed to start 33% of our league games thus far. And we've only played 6.

With this rotation policy, we will NEVER win the league.

Much as it saddens me to say it, Rafa's objective is to win the title. If he insists on sticking with a policy that sees us dropping our best players and failing to win this type of game, he will never win the title, in which case, what's the point of him being here?

Open your eyes, instead of blaming Birmingham for doing what they're perfectly entitled to do.

I got carried away after Derby game and recent result are hard to take but **** it. My best consolation is that 2 years ago we had our best results in the league despite not being able to beat Birmingham. I hope it is destiny. I`m really close to RCDNWB and i do believe that he is the man that will bring NUMBER 19TH home.

My feeling is that this time around we have our bad patch in september instead of august as it used to be. We are going to beat Wigan next week and everything is going to be hunkydory again. And still this time around we don`t lose stupid goals and we are not losing games. We are unbeaten and close to the top.

It is demorilising not to be able to outfox Liam ****ing Rigdewell but for christ sake people even if you feel that performance wasn`t worth the quality that we expect from our players, even if result is so deeply disappointing why can`t you have little faith in our menager? Calling him new ****ing Houllier? Rafa might be stubborn and his decisons might puzzle us from time to time ( oh well, some are puzzled all the time) but he is THE MAN. Even if it is not as we would love to be just keep your faith.

Depth in the squad mate, but we leave out Torres and cant score...the 'depth' doesnt look all the potent really, does it?

Not gonna bother reading the thread as I dont wanna feel even worse than I do now. But I tell you this - I bet the players dont feel as bad about this result than us fans. IMO we feel it much much worse.

I was gutted at full time. This rotation policy is doing my head in.

Liam Ridgewell is a tiny bit better than Bramble but still crap.He even made the usual mistake today but Dirk was asleep. The rotation is not going down well 3years into his reign.Rotate if you have a squad to rotate.

I kept faith in Liverpool managers for as long as I can remember to bring the Championship (Premiership) title home again! And after all these years, I'm getting a bit moody and I think that's natural

I do think Rafa is THE MAN, but I think he should rotate players at the end of December when we play 46593463 games in one week. Not now ffs! It's only September

He just hasn't got a clue on how to win the Premiership title. He's the best manager for knock-out cup competitions, but as far as Premier League is concerned, his tactics and teams' performances are always inconsistent and it is the inconsistency that's causing us losing important points etc.

Just 2 seasons ago, we were relying on Sinama-Pongolle, Le Tallec and Mellor up front. Now that we have spent millions and millions of pounds on Torres, he's on the bench. I just don't get it.

                  Exactly.

With each pair of dropped points, certain people continue to chant the same thing and will probably continue to do so if we're 20 points behind with 5 games left...

With every selection balls up he makes, we're losing out on valuable points.

It needs to stop now otherwise forget the title. The others wont just sit around waiting for us to go on a winning run.

Are you saying our play is different to last year?
Yes I am saying our play is different up until Portsmouth it was a lot different.
You started the comparison with last year mate.
It's really simple, more points, more goals, better play in 4 out of 6 league games, less goals conceded and I'll re-iterate NONE from open play.
Our first 6 last year were pretty much on a par with this year Sheff United & West Ham at home Everton & Chelski away Barcodes and Spurs at Home.
That's not all that different 3 bottom dwellers and 2 mid table and one of the top 3.
This year 3 bottom dwellers 2 mid table and one of the top 3 and we had 4 home games versus 3 home games this year and we've won 2 and drawn 1 away when we had lost both away games last year.
SO yes there is a big big difference from last year.
Oh and one other thing we're still unbeaten.
Hmmmm how different do you want it.

Rafa's gotta hold his hand up quickly, and acknowledge to himself that the formula for La Liga isnt the same as that needed for the Premiership.

His recent comments have concerned me. First, he claimed that Gerrard and Torres would've made no difference if they'd started at Pompey. Then today, he reckoned that because Brum play deep and compact, Kuyt and Voronin are better options that Torres. Nonsensical.

Regardless of Kuyt and Voronin's own strengths, the unquestionable fact is that Torres basically does EVERYTHING better than them. And the sum of all parts is heavily in Torres' favour too. Now if Rafa's just being stubborn and proud to the media, that's fine. He doesnt have to publicly say he's got it wrong. But if he truly believes what he's said, then it's a real worry. The only way we'll tell, is by monitoring whether Torres continues to sit on the bench in the coming weeks.

                          1. Rafa is in danger of losing the fans if he continues this rotation s**** for Torres. FFS our next game is Reading in the Mickey Mouse Cup, WTF is he doing not starting Torres today, for the second Prem game on the run.

                          2. I don't rate Voronin as highly as some. He has scored in easy games and looked poor aside from them.

                          3. Babel is a forward not a left winger.

                          4. Riise shouldn't be at the club.

How dare Birmingham have the temerity to get people behind the ball in the hope of getting a draw.

Shouldn't somebody tell them that it is our right to have a free passage to goal when playing at home.

Birmingham didn't outwork us or outplay us. They just assumed the position and said "right Liverpool, what have you got?"

Our answer was "pretty much **** all".

I don't understand why Torres didn't play and I don't understand why Babel was brought off in order to have first Voronin and later Kuyt taking his place on the wing.

Unless injured, I don't understand why Yossi wasn't at least on the bench. Against a massed defence you need guile and he has it in abundance.

I'm also perturbed by the fact that when we are **** first half, we don't seem to change it and stop being **** second half.
