That's a good point but he's entitles to his opinion, isn't he? And to be fair he's not the only person saying it is he? He's only saying what most of us are thinking.
Sure he is, bit so is Rafa ;eyebrow:
I know who i want picking the team anyway

I said it before and I will say it again.Iniesta.He is not an out and out winger but he is a brilliant footballer and has great attacking threat and is seriously comfortable on the ball.He is not always in the Barca side and we should get a bid in.He definetely has game intelligence and he played super against us last year even at left back.He would make defenders look stupid.
He is an International player and a ball player.
Nobody will agree but i'm a big fan of his.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
everyone wants to know

The most frustrating thing is that Torres is unbelievable. He has absolutely everything. There is no tactical reason for leaving him out because what is it that this lad is supposed to be incapable of doing?
Well, according to Rafa there was no space in behind the Birmingham defense so he wanted players who could play between the lines. I know that Derby are the whipping boys in this league but they defended deep and Torres played, and found space in between the lines, so his reason for not playing him falls flat.
How often does Drogba not start for the chavs, Henry for Barca, Rooney for untied? They almost always start.
What we have though is one of the brightest and most sought after young strikers in Europe, a player who would walk into any team on the continent, and he's on the bench.

Fair enough, you made a suggestion
However, that's only one, and you admit that he's not an out an out winger, which is what you were asking for. We don't need another central midfielder.
My point is, there aren't any genuine world class wingers available to us. Quaresma is a possibility but he's already failed at one big club, who's to say whether he'd succeed in the Premiership?

As Rafa is the team manager, surely he is in a better position than any of us to decide who is fit mentally and physically to play each and every game.
Sure we will disagree on who should start but we are only basing our opinions on what we see on the pitch rather than off it/Melwood/Domestics/Personal issues/Physio room etc.
I defy anyone to come on here and say they are better qualified tactically to pick the team.
1. Torres for me should be starting every premiership game home and away.(But what do I know)
2. Do not change a winning side. (But what do I know)
3. Be you own man and pick your own team based on what you know.
Even if others disagree. (But what do I know)
We all like to name teams and pick players,
so if you are fed up of going to the game and still want to have a pop then stop yer moaning and turn your attention to this and **** off away from Anfield to let someone else in who
Will support the side/Who will sing songs at
the match on a Saturday afternoon and will not Boo the players .

plus he has pace and the ability to beat a man. exactly what is needed against this kind of mass defence. not someone playing uninventively in between the lines. but someone who can do something others can't in order to get behind them.

Realistic targets....M.Rodriguez, Vicente, Rosina, Kerlon to name a few.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He can play anywhere. He is an attacking midfielder. He played on the left in Ronaldinho's position tonight. If he became available then every top club would be in

If you look at our recent signings in those wide positions we have Pennant and Yossi, both purchased after having quality seasons for teams that were relegation material. Babel, a guy who has promise but also has grown up being part of a strong side in an inferior quality league. It's expecting an awful lot for those sorts of individuals to then come to Liverpool and be the catalyst for us to challenge for the Premiership title.

Do you not think that Rafa would have a better, more understanding reason why Torres didn't start, rather than hundreds of thousands of watching fans.
If we all had our own way we would always pick our strongest starting eleven.
So why aren't we managing the club??
We are missing creative wingers, a penalty box specialist type of striker, a more creative striker in Kuyts position.
We have the most creative player in the brazilian league in the stands when everyone can see that we lack creativity.
Maybe Rafa could play Lucas instead of Kuyt just behind Torres.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
