Having been a successful striker, i think he's well qualified to judge about psychology and how a striker feels when he's getting games.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostI don't think Aldo is in a position to be handing out advice about football management to Rafa
None of us are in any position to discuss football whatsoever. Shall we close down the forums?

Sorry, but that whole post smacks of RCDNW.Originally posted by Shanks007 View PostMy two penneth.
As Rafa is the team manager, surely he is in a better position than any of us to decide who is fit mentally and physically to play each and every game.
Sure we will disagree on who should start but we are only basing our opinions on what we see on the pitch rather than off it/Melwood/Domestics/Personal issues/Physio room etc.
I defy anyone to come on here and say they are better qualified tactically to pick the team.
1. Torres for me should be starting every premiership game home and away.(But what do I know)
2. Do not change a winning side. (But what do I know)
3. Be you own man and pick your own team based on what you know.
Even if others disagree. (But what do I know)
We all like to name teams and pick players,
so if you are fed up of going to the game and still want to have a pop then stop yer moaning and turn your attention to this and **** off away from Anfield to let someone else in who
Will support the side/Who will sing songs at
the match on a Saturday afternoon and will not Boo the players .

If we all had our own way we would always pick our strongest starting eleven.
So why aren't we managing the club??
Easy isn't it??
what an ostrich reply...
Yep, everything's brilliant, Rafa never gets anything wrong and none of us have the remotest clue, we should just bow down in between trying to learn how to say 'football'....

Think of it like a car race. We accelerate away, look good, then stutter and make a stop in the pits. Then we're off again, regain the lead...then another component is changed, breaks down and we're back in the pits...Originally posted by bigfooty View PostGetting a pasting on MoTD. Pennant's lack of goals (1 in 59 appearances), Torres making a difference when he came on. Rotation causing us to lose momentum.

Was ****ing seething after the match today, but thankfully I couldn't make it to a computer straight away to make a tit out of myself. So after a fw hrs reflection, I must say i'm still really disapointed but there's nothing we can do about it now, so it's on to the next game.
However it really is a worrying thing that we've now draw 3 games on the trot, and in all 3 we've lacked the creativity and cutting edge to get anywhere in them. The fact that we've left torres out of 2 starting lineups is a real puzzler to me, and either Rafa is underestimating the oppo, he's overestimating our other strikers, or he's trying to wrap Torres in cotton wool, but something really needs to change.
I think we're ging to be a worse team for the loss of Xabi, I know many have said Agger is the biggest loss, but Sami looked fine today, although to be fair he didn't have a great deal to do, but he did he mostly did well. Xabi on the other hand in this game and the porto one could have given that extra bit of creativity.
I'm sure it's been said already, but i really do wonder if the pako business has affected our performances somehow, defensively we seem fine, but going forward we don't seem to have a clue and the tactics just aren't good, I don't know if Paco handled some of this type of stuff, or maybe it's just a coincidence.
Positives are we're still only 4 points from top, with a game in hand over city in second at the moment. Chavs and mancs have to play each other tomorrow, so someone will drop points, now lets just hope we'll be able to crack on and start getting those points racking up, after what is hopefully just a blipLast edited by Morph; 22-09-07, 11:37 PM.Thomas Hicks Senior

What Shearer said about Pennant is true. He is too disciplined on that far right. Rafa has him there but Rafa should let him tuck in. Either this should be coached or Rafa should just let him be free on the right.
He has the potential of scoring 10-12 goals a season. With poor positioning, its a shame he can't get 2 goals in a season
