as long as we stay above Utd until then we are right in the mix
African nations cup will affect Chelsea and Arsenal soon.

no they dont need a rest , i see arsenal stuck to pretty much the same team, chelsea and united will aswell. its crazy,

it would be like chelsea leaving drogba or terry out when fully fit, its baffling totally baffling, especially when carling cup coming up, surely thats the time for a rest?

We need wingers who can get past his man and Gerrard and Leto are our best options.
Agree. It's about time we give these lads their chance and see what they can do.

How was Gerrard today? As quiet as he was on Tuesday?

i didnt say rafa was a bad manager. in europe 99% of the time , he plays the best available to him , in the league he doesnt. judging from the last 3 games, in my opinion he still values the champions league higher than the league judging by team selections.

drawing 2 league games in a row and not scoring with the players available , the buck has to stop with the manager.you
          yes you did say that.

Im not arguing about team coming to Liverpool to get a point. Im arguing the way that Brum did it was pathetic. 9 men behind the ball is just piss poor form IMO. Teams have every right to come here and fight for a point...but do it in a manner that still allows a decent game to be played. 6 men behind the ball is more than enough to allow yourself the chance to get a result, yet still play football.

Did Brum even have a decent chance.....nope.

What was the possesion count in the end? 80-20? speaks for itself really.

Could it possibly be that Torres, as seen in the Porto match, is struggling with his fitness and can't last more than 30-45 minutes at the moment?

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Only Toure will be gone for the Arse,Chelsea will suffer alright.I'm not overly concerned about the Arse to be honest they're on fire at the minute but they don't have real quality up front to get them out of a bind when the rest of the team don't click, much like us cos he's sat on the bench

EDIT: they'll lose Song+adebayour+eboue, **** it me point is ****ed

Rafa Benitez rued his side's failiure to convert dominance into goals following a Saturday stalemate with Birmingham.
The Spaniard also explained the omission of Fernando Torres from his starting XI, telling reporters it was a tactical decision.

He said: "You must be frustrated because you know before that you must win this kind of game. You could see we were attacking, attacking, attacking – especially in the first half.

"Clear chances are really difficult when the opponents play so deep. We had a lot of shots but they were off target.

"We tried in the wide areas, we tried to get crosses in – everything. It was really difficult but if you have some chances you must take them."

Benitez added: "We knew they would be deep and narrow and compact, so we needed the strikers to play between the lines.

"Kuyt and Voronin can do this. After, when we needed fresh legs, we brought on Fernando, but you could see how many times he got behind defenders – never. That's because there was no space."

The Liverpool boss also revealed that Jermaine Pennant and Javier Mascherano both picked up knocks, though neither is thought to be serious.

You see no change, we beat Villa away, should've beat Chelski we were much the better team, beat Sunderland well could've been more and beat them better than the Mancs did.
                            Hammered Derby.
We drew away to Portsmouth not the worst result considering they've an incredible home record in the league only lost 2 all last season.
We were paticularly poor today and against Porto doesn't mean that our season is over and that we will play like that all season.
I'm not happy about today but we will go on to the next game and hopefully win.

Sorry Rafa but Voronin and Kuyt isn't better between the lines than Torres.

                                That's bull****.
