maybe Spur fans are the best in the world.

Singing would of been better but most home match's these days are quiet - as said I think the expectations are higher and the singing is qiueter.

I know i sometimes am concentrating a lot and forget to sing.

Even euro nights are getting quieter.

in fact i'm not getting nagged as much these days
maybe my hearing is going

Spurs fans are morons, but at least in a relatively straight-forward game they gave their team magnificant (and I don't use that term lightly at all) backing, in the way that we didn't yesterday.
You know if we were piling in the goals all we would have got was a chorus of "Liverpool, Liverpool" after each goal and that's pretty much it. Basically their fans were a lot more for up for it on Thurs than ours were yesterday. I agree that the level of expectation has a lot to do with it, but that's no excuse really.

True, but given the lack of invention on the pitch may be a bit of urging, backing from the crowd may have inspired the players a bit more. People like Pennant, Babel sometimes seem overrawed and scared to go on the outside of their man and take them on - to these kind of players it may make a difference. At the end of the day us singing and backing them a bit more won't do them any harm will it?

true totaly agree with you there, but as you know Anfield is quiet these days and IMO will only increase if the chance of no19 comes a reality.

the noise as for every PL club only happens on the big games - ours are CL evening match's and playing the big 3 at home, i'd bet if Brum was a monday evening they'd be more atmosphere.

Yesterday was my first game at Anfield since 2001 and the I was sitting in Anfield Road Upper, and all I could hear were the Brum fans for the entire match

Heard a bit of chanting at the start and when Torres came on but apart from that nothing, disappointing performance and atmosphere

Not necessarily, no. I was sitting next to two southern chaps yesterday who were constantly remarking how quick Markus Babbel was on the left, whilst one of them had to repeatedly check the programme for the names of the players on the pitch. The songs that were sung yesterday were unknown to them, and I doubt they had any idea about the ones that weren't.

It's easy to generalise and come up with some 'logical' explanation here, but the simple fact is that it is quiet in Anfield when we play **** and/or are playing **** teams. I'm not saying that is right, but I also don't think Anfield would be any louder if you crammed it full of OOTers.

Read my previous posts ffs, the ooters comment was just another additive to the debate imo we where so crap yesterday it was hard to watch on the TV and your saying there where 2 southerners sitting in front of you not singing and you where surrounded by singing scousers including yourself. The ooters comment was a generalisation I never said that was the main reason for the bad vocal support .:whatever:

Disagree, I find it easier to sing when standing up, not that I'm condoning standing, you can't do and that's that but it is easier to shout and sing at the top of your lungs when standing up FACT
