ok on the plus side we seem to be doing ok at defending them..
but what to **** are we doing at corners and set plays where we get the big men into the box only to blast one into the wall or blaze over the bar??
i know we got one against porto and gerrrards against villa was special.
but other than that i feel as though we lack ideas or maybe even confidence??
im sure we practice in training so:
1. do we place more emphasis on defending set pieces than scoring in training ??
2. how much work goes into shooting at training ??
3. breaking away at speed and trying to get behind a defence ??
4. maybe its just me but by times we look to have no ideas going forward, is this due to lack of practice in training or by constant rotation its hard for players to get used to other players movement around them ??
for me an inswinging corner or free kick where any touch at all may result in a goal has to be better than an outswinging one, have always said it.
i hate to say it and it breaks my heart but watching the way arsenal are breaking forward and scoring is a pleasure to watch at the minute and i just wish we could play some attacking football like this...
anyways, set pieces - breaking forward - training: DISCUSS ??

Pennant's crosses are too high and without any real power and speed, while Gerrard is just not a set-piecer at all.
