Never doubted he was talented.

But **** me he's epic. I thought he'd struggle with the physical stuff, but just look at tonight, kicked all over the shop, but kept getting back up.

And what's more he made Duberry and Bikey look silly.

He also made Bikey look as fast as a mountain - which he isn't - a whole bunch of times.

And Rafa left him out against Brum for "tactical reasons". Which I regret to say is complete and utter nonsense.

i must admit i thought he'd be good..............but not this good. I HOPED he would be this good, but in the back of my mind lurked the memory of so many supposedly great buys up front [from Saunders to Morientes] who didn't cut he mustard. I also wondered whether he'd be able to up his strike rate enough - in Spain it wasn't that great but I hoped with better players around him he'd be OK*
