I have to admit, Eto'o was my number one on the wish list.

I was quite pleased when we purchased Torres, but not over the moon.

      How wrong I was :whatever:

        Torres was class.
Does this mean that rafa can defend his rotation policy? I dont think torres should be bench in key games...but we all know how single minded rafa is
Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.

For me, the greatest compliment that can be paid Torres is that opponents are scared stiff of him. You could see Reading panicking tonight when he was running at them with the ball. Bikey just had no idea how to stop him legally so along with his team mates, tried to bully him (and failed totally). He ought to have a penalty at 2:1 up, but yes, class!

I'm not going to lie and say I thought he was this good. I hadn't seen enough of him really, but fcuk me he is something else.

Give him a day off training, carry him to the bog if he needs a dump, but for gods sake Rafa never rest this man again

However, I didn't realise just how good he is. He's been absolutely brilliant since he signed. His goal against Chelsea was top drawer but its his pace allied with his workrate that makes him so good.

In short I knew he was good but he's twice the player I thought he was.
                    £20m...what a snip

Not much good at this sort of thing, but I saw a Sky piece on him just after he was made captain, talking about how much he loved AM etc, That loyalty combined with his amazing quality made me think he was the new Fowler.

I also wondered whether he'd be able to up his strike rate enough - in Spain it wasn't that great but I hoped with better players around him he'd be OK*

                      *he's more than OK!
Get whay you are saying mate.

After all the disappointments in recent years: Collymore, Heskey, Diouf, Cisse, Baros and Kuyt I just didn't dare hope that we had finally bought a geniune class act.

                      Finally.

We have finally replaced Owen and Fowler with a player that is better than they have ever been.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Id watched Torres quite a lot and I was one of the voices who wanted Torres because I thought he was potentially world class. But by **** I didnt realise he was as strong, tricky and pure ****ing fast as he is...he really is a different class to the rest of our team!!
Like Shaggy I have a new favourite player...Fernando Torres =

                              What a fcukin player

He was thrown in against a load of untalented animals, and Neanderthals, and had the **** kicked out of him from the offset, recovering from a heavy knock in the first three minutes.

Not once did he roll around like a little bitch, (as many players unfortunately do now), or moan, he just kept on getting up, and getting on with it, and continually taking the piss out of the opposition, bagging himself a classy hat-trick in the process.

God! How defenders are gonna hate playing us this season

Ooooooooooh that's a BIG shout AFII. Torres at the moment is very reminiscent of Fowler at his peak.
Torres could yet improve on that, which would make him one of the best strikers we've ever had. Early days though
