Fact is he is playing with a class striker for the first time with Liverpool are he looks average. When we bought him he was average and he is still.
Hope the days of buying mediocre players are well and truly gone.
Torres needs a ball player with him and Crouch is not that player.
        Nice lad though
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
        everyone wants to know

He's on his way out and i think he knows it.
Wouldnt be in the least bit surprised if it was January.
Would be a shame as i like him a lot.

Yeah and it might not have, what difference does it make if it was a few weeks ago

The question is why Crouch isn't even fighting for his place? Don't come out and say that it's bull**** and that he is doing that because he don't if you have seen his performances this season.

His performances on the pitch aren't an indication of his 'fight', maybe he's trying too hard, or maybe he's a bit put out not getting picked as often

I think he would do that if he had a chance to stay and the contract offer was still on the table.

Just my opinion but the key is that Crouch has stopped fighting for his place. Even a player with a lack of self confidence would at least put up a fight.

Maybe he's not fighting for a place (which i think is bull****, but none the less) because he knows it makes no difference under Rafa, because Rafa will always rotate anyway. As torres found out last week.

You pick on my 'ideal world' statement...if Rafa weren't the perfectionist that he is, we'd be ****ing nowhere. And I am quite certain that what I have written is - give or take - pretty much what Rafa's stance is as well: Perfection; Rotating without a hint of difference to the overall harmony and prowess of the team. Otherwise, why the **** do you think he continues to rotate and sometimes comes short (ie. B'ham, P'mouth)? Because that's EXACTLY what he believes in and it is EXACTLY as he will continue to do until he has achieved said situation or either leaves the club.

you've put it perfectly there brother. rafa's ideal is a machine where the players are interchangeable cogs who - based on technical assesment during training and analysis of the opposition - should be able to seamlessly slot in and out and perform to his "level" whenever called on. so you can either get with the program or **** off. no mollycoddling, no arm-around-the-shoulder, no few run-outs to build confidence. all the confidence you need shown in you is the fact that you are at our club.

methinks though that in an almost shakesperian way, rafa's great genius is also the bed of his weakness.

Maybe Crouchie does not fancy playing for LFC anymore !!!
His body language this season so far indicates that he is lacking confidence/trying too hard to make things happen.
If his form continues Rafa will sell him no doubt in the January window.
Shame cos I like Crouch but it seems that he does have the MENTALITY that Rafa speaks about every week.

I have no idea why Crouchy was down in London Village getting interviewed by Simon Mayo when he should be training or something up North, but here is the interview from Yesterday.

..Sure he is a better player than Kuyt, afterall he can't head in a goal for ****!

I'm sorry but at his height he should be sticking crosses away in the back of the net more often than not, instead of ballooning them 15 feet upwards!

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

If anyone thinks we're getting Johnson and / or Richards, they're deluded.

i agree. just remember the header against arsenal last season which was simply terrific. if he always jumped and headed like that he'd be an unplayable goal machine. instead of that, he usually concedes a foul when jumping or his header go to row z.
