Most of the arguements haven't been about the result, well ok it contributes but for me it's the performance, the tactics the general bewilderment Benitez causes with his selections. If we had played our best with our best team available(and not resting them for a league cup game????) and still got those results against Pompey and Birmingham - and i believe we'd have won them both - then i wouldn't be as critical about benitez as i am.

I take your point about the Portsmouth and Birmingham games, and like you, I would have played Torres. Im not as convinced as you that had Torres played in them games we would have won them, but you never know, we may have My main theory we drew them games is that we played wank and the other teams worked there balls off to get what they got.

Overall though, I can feel something building this season and we are just gonna get stronger and stronger as it progresses. If I am right and this is the case then, consdering we are unbeaten at the moment, this is going to be some season

Our football this season (when on form) has been of a standard I havent seen from a Liverpool side for a number of years. Real quality passing and a desire right across the pitch to work hard and win the ball.

Same formation different tactics

Defensively Birmingham were a lot narrower than Derby which means you need better wide play to exploit them and which means less space for forwards to run the channels

Brums midfield and defense were just of a better standard. Derby tried to make it narrow but had no luck and little talent.

I noticed you neglected to mention whether you buy into the Pigs in Space explanation from Rafa regarding Torres.

I really bloody hope so mate... I'm annoyed it's 17 years and counting, i would like to see another title in my life time -- that's all that matters to me, being the best in England. Europe is great but the pride comes from winning the domestic league no matter what country your playing in.

this thread can be summed up quickly

1- we trust rafa but get frustrated sometimes with rotation.
2- after a couple of bad (draws) results we stand firm behind rafa
3- if you call for rafa to be sacked you are indeed a ball bag (thanks coops)
4- if u dont appreciate just how far rafa has taken us then **** off and support another team
5- we have GREAT times to come under rafa, i seem to remember a night in may?, a couple of years ago?
6- anybody slating rafa (other than saturdays after a bad result) can **** right off. he is the real SPECIAL ONE
