The guys didn't have high hopes at all. David Fairclough was at the dinner, which everybody apparently were well chuffed over.

I just wanted to share this with you. This is a true story:

There were 25 people over from the local supporters club in JARs hometown in Norway for the Birmingham match. This is a new club and it’s the first time they’ve been over as a group (first time over at all for many of them).

A full dinner was planned for Sunday and the guys were hoping to have JAR present. Contact had been made with his agent/adviser long time in advance, but a proper answer was never given as if he could/would come along.

After the match the trip organizer (the same guy who had been in contact with the agent) stood waiting for the players to leave the stadium. There were nobody else there, he was all alone.

Out come JAR and the agent – both completely ignores him. They walk no more than 10m from him – it’s not a question of not having been seen or heard. Whilst getting seated in the car he can also hear the agent/adviser talk negatively about him.
The dinner went ahead, with no sign of JAR of course.

"don't worry John we have an injuction on him he can't come within 9M of you"

FFS if he said he was comming then yes have a go.

If players went to every fans invite for dinner they'd look like Barnes.

Maybe if he was the only one there, JAR and the agent thought that this dinner would have been a stalker and JAR so didn't want to talk as was unsure. Suprised that straight after the match this guy was waiting outside on his own and not with the other people and was still trying to organise the event.

I'm not Riise's biggest fan as a player but I have to say this story is hard to believe. There has to be a breakdown in communications somewhere.
I dont know Riise from adam of course but he does not strike me as a prima donna player who thinks like that. Just my tuppence worth.

exactly - this "razor70" claims to KNOW what Riise and his agent saw and heard. Shame he doesn't know whether they even agreed to meet. A meeting wasn't even agreed so stop having a pop!
