He goes to the byline and can also cut inside. He likes too shoot from distance and can also play the clever through ball from deeper (like he did in the reading game).

In one game he swapped over the to right side.

Finally, his crossing is a bit hit and miss.

He has a little way to go to be more accurate with his passing, crossing and shooting. But he does have all the other qualities Rafa insists on hard working, game intelligence, ...

    Hope that helps.

I thought Leto did well v Reading. He beat his man a couple of times, got stuck in and created Torres 1st goal with a sublime through pass.
Only thing about him that made me laugh is his speed, he almost seemed running at slow motion, anyone agrees ?

I thought he played very well, still settling but know waht you mean, zero turn of pace, would like to see him play live as i am hoping that because he is 6'0 odd that he may be deceptively quick

yeh he is a bit tall for a winger, but all the same I think he will be a good player for us.

When we bought him there were a couple of articles about him by Tom Vikrey , BBCs South American Correspondent and another journalist.I am not able to trace the links but this is the general summary of what they had to say.

Not a left winger, but a left sided midfielder.

                Positives:
They were praising his technique. I remember Vikrey mentioning that Leto is a player who caresses the ball. They were also praising how comfortable he looks on the ball even in tight situations. To summarize, he is a proper footballer, not an athelete who started playing the game.

                Negatives:

All the impressive touches and control do not lead to a final product. I remember Vickrey mentioning how he seems to loose all the technique in the final third and make wrong decisions. Another journalist pointed out as an example even though he has a decent shot on him he does not score that many goals.

Both of them agreed that he needs time to settle down and there is a lot of development needed in his game especially in the final third.

                  Good stuff Speedy.

                  Thanks for the summary.

I think it's a bit early to be judging the lad after only two competitive games for us.

I thought he did look a bit slow (for a winger) the other night and clumsy at times but I'll reserve judgement for the time being.

Gonzalez, yes I have to admit I was startled at how he failed to adapt in the prem. He looked fantastic in the Primera Liga and I for one thought he had the tenacity to succeed in the prem. Ah well.....

                    How is glocky?!
Ta mate. Been here a long while actually but rarely post

I agree with you about Gonzalez. After the fuss Benitez made about him I thought he'd give him a bit longer.

Glock's much the same. A complete deluded loon.

He reminds me of Macca but slower.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That's not always a good way to judge. After all, we beat inter and juventus to the signing of Biscan!

I'm amazed so many people thought he was good at Reading. I thought he was very poor.
