Why are Reina, Carragher and Gerrard picked for almost every league game and not Torres? I'll bet £100 towards any charity right here right now that rotating our strikers this way will mean we do not win the title.

I don't care which of the other 3 play alongside torres but i'd much rather torres be tired in january and we still be in the title race than be left behind by mid october.
I'm thinking that Rafa will pick the games so that he is available all through the season. As I posted earlier I think we'll see him in more games after his first 6 months.

i just hope its not too late after 6 months. The Birmingham game really pissed me off. At one point was the crow not on the left wing?

Both Kuyt and Voronin spent some time playing on the wings in that game which was really rather silly but almost inevitable when you consider our bench didn't have a single attacking midfielder or wide player on it. Against teams like Birmingham who pack the middle of the pitch you need quality in those areas and we just do not have it at the moment due to the transfer policy adopted by Rafa in the Summer.

It wasn't any transfer policy that stopped Rafa signing any wide players. The players he wanted either stayed or moved to other clubs.

Alves, Cicinho, Quaresma, Rosina and Simao for example. It's better to wait until a quality player is available than signing a wide player that isn't any better than we already have.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Maybe that's why Rafa is the manager and you aren't

Every top manager rotates their players, Fergiescum does it as did Mourihno before his sacking. The problem with the Brum and Pompey games were the team, not individual players! This was proved with how **** we were against Porto with Torres in the team. Simple fact is we were on a **** run of results, happens to all team during the course of the season. The good thing is we didn't lose those games but as a team we were ****e, simple as.

Torres has scored in 3 games so far

                    1 against Chelsea
                    2 against Derby
                    3 against Reading

4 against Wigan ??? seems a logical prgession to me

I can't. That means that they won't be match fit if we get an injury crisis and it will take them two, three, four games to be that, by then someone should be back and then they are out again after a game or two.

Babel and Benayoun are the only ones that is anywhere near a starting XI place and both of them will need at least a few months before they can perform at their best.

The key is. They could be excellent, but not in the next months if we don't get an injury crisis.
my point is that who knows what could happen, all my aforementioned players have the abillity, something may click .......babel may go out score 3 today and then be on fire. yes you are right about leto and lucas and no i cant see them starting at the moment.

I always believed torres would do well, but how many people thought he would need a few games to settle. Babel may not settle and once Leto get s his fitness up he maybe the one to shine.

with rafas rotation anything is possible!
