      So what do you suggest?

        on recent form yes.
But his form last season was worthy of starting this season in most sides.
We are lucky to have two strikers like Torres and Kuyt aswell.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

what really gets on my tits is how many chances he needs to get a goal.. especially in a tight game.

maybe its been exposed more this season with torres who is simply a step above the rest.

i personally think it makes financial sence if a decent offer comes in jan, AND a replacement can be found to sell the ****er

Torres has also missed a lot of chances for us yet the Crouch-bashers conveniently overlook this.

The way some people go on and on about Crouch being "profligate", you'd think he never scored 18 goals for us last season and that Torres had slotted every opportunity he's had so far.

It's not true anyway - he doesn't necessarily need "many chances to get a goal". He scored against Toulouse with his first chance.

He misses chances. All strikers do. He's just very tall and not quick. Some people don't seem to like that. *shrugs*

ok maybe it would be fairer to say he slows down attack lacks positional intelligence in the box, ie fowler with his head.....

i know torres wont score every opportunity he gets either, but he makes sone of them from nothing

crouch misses too many that are laid on a plate for him...

i wouldnt care if he was 7 foot 2 if he done the business .....

You do realize that 99% of the time that is what he is supposed to do. It's called holding up the ball and it's done so that the midfield can join the attack.

i know that, but also i said he does not get back into the right position to contribute anything else

defenders as a rule are fairly slow in comparison to strikers so take them ****in on !!!!

Play him more often or sell him. I would sell him in January because we don't really need him. We have four other strikers that is better than him, Torres, Kuyt, Voronin and Babel.

Sell him and sign Rosina in January. We would then have a good right winger instead of a striker we don't need.

                    Rosina isn't cup-tied.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

In the managers eyes Crouch has become ineffective.

He (Crouch) now bases his game on this media perception that he has good feet. Hence the constant assortment of s*it pointless flicks!

When he isn’t bamboozling the crowd with his feet, 40 yards from goal, facing the wrong way, defenders simply allow him to foul himself out of the game.

The manager wanted him to get back to basics, but Crouch thinks he is Bergkamp!

If at some time we want to play with a lone striker, then Crouch would be the best option.

                            Why?

Because he can hold up the ball so well, retain the ball, not give away free kicks and counter attack with pace.

Torres is the best option to play up front on his own.

Has pace, is intelligent on the ball, can take the hits and keep coming back and can bring players into the game, also he's world class and can change a game in a second

Torres is better than Crouch at everything that Crouch has as his strenghts.
