..are biggies:
7th Oct: Spurs (H). Spurs are struggling, but with the amount of quality they have in their side, it is only time before they start picking up some points. Let's hope it's not against us. We are (obviously) a much better side, but haven't really been showing much recently.
20th Oct: Everscum (A). I take it there's another interantional break FFS?
Anyway, our 1st game back is against our dull-witted neighbours. They started off the season well, but have recently been exposed a bit more as the tedious thugs they really are. We dont have far to travel this time unlike when we went to Pompey, but you can bet the Bitters will be up for proving that the fluke last year was not a fluke after all.
28th Oct: Gooners (H).A really big one this year cos we both look like we could be in with a serious shout for the title for the 1st time in ages. They've got off to a flying start & altho they've not really played anyone decent in the league yet, they looked ace against Serville in the CL. I can see their form dipping at some point, so hopefully it will be against us. Should be a hotly contested game & last season we saw that results between us can vary between extremes. I worry about Sami's lack of mobility to be honest cos Danny wont be back by then, but if we're gonna win the League this season we have to get the results whatever the circumstances. We deserve some luck after being cheated out of 3 points after a good showing against the Chavs though.
3rd Nov: Blackburn (A): Another tough away draw against the grey granite-faced John Major Spitting Image puppet look-alike ex-Manc’s buly boys. They’re looking like reverting to their form of a couple of seasons ago, so this one won’t be easy. Let’s hope we can avenge last year’s debacle.
Once these games are done, I think we’ll have a much better idea of where we stand. They are all potentially tough games & it’s not a good time to lose 2 of our best players in Xabi & Danny. Let’s hope this year’s stronger squad can really prove it’s worth.
