Dunno about centre half, more of a physio i'd say.

I noticed McCarthy scored for the Accies the other week. Isn't he still just 16?

A couple of people I know have seen him play, they think he's excellent.

But with the woeful standard of footie up here it's impossible to tell how he'd get on.

A person I work with is an ex-pro, as well as a lot of radio and TV punditry he also does some freelance scouting.

Recently he has been working for Chelsea in and around the North-west. He kept saying he'd been to many games that I thought were a bit low key for Chelsea.

After reading this thread I put two and two together and asked him if it was Koffi he was watching. At first he was reluctant to say then when it was obvious that I was right by him not denying it, he gave away a lot more. He said 'we' i.e. Chelsea have put in a bid for him but Koffi is being pushed in two directions.

His manager desperately wants him to go to Utd so that Burnley will get first refusal/favours on some of Utd's players that they want to send out on loan. Koffi on the other hand is being pushed to us by his parents and his agent.

Any talk of us letting him stay at Burnley for a year is just to appease them but we wouldn't want that or let that happen long term.

He is something very special though especially since he is British.
