        According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

          Marseille look like they might have potential on the break, good ball into Niang is well defended by Carra who wins a free-kick.

          Pepe booms it downfield and Crouch wins a free-kick about 35 yards out, left side.

                    Crouch then clattered into and doesn't get the call, Marseille break but Carra defends sturdily. Could have been a foul but got away with it.

                    Poor first touch from Fabio allows Marseille to break and Niang gets in, blasts his shot at Pepe.

                    If Riise had done that he would have been slaughtered on here.
