Thanjk you.
Paul.S
Itandje (reserve)
Arbeloa
Aurelio (on come back from injury, ideal run out)
Finnan
Carragher
Sissoko (as suggested by you)
Leto (reserve)
Leiva (reserve)
Benayoun (is he a first teamer? He might be now but what abot then?)
Crouch (not getting a game so would be classed as a reserve)
Torres
So thats 7 from 11. A good mix of first tema and fringe/reserves there. Same as all the other top clubs do.
The players you listed are all squad players. I'm talking about the reserves.
Thats what I'm talking about. Let some of the boys get a sniff. Why even field Torres when we have 63 games as you say? Why?
Rafa explained that with it being reading away, which is NOT a easy place to go, that he wanted to ensure we got through, then hopefully we would get a easier tie (which we did) where he said he would field a few kids.
As for Torres, why not play him? He`s a Liverpool player and he was picked to play, was a good idea too seeing as he got a hat trick
thing with Momo is that his strengths are his speed, athleticism and the fact he's a bloody nuisance to opponents. his weaknesses are anything where he HAS the ball.
he's ideal against teams we expect to dominate possession against us. he's a problem in games where we need possession ourselves.
he's the kind of player ideal against a team thats better than the team he's in. his job is to get in the way and hassle the opposition into having less time, and have the athleticism to force opponents to have to beat him more than once because he gets back in position again quickly.
if that analysis is correct, then there's probably no place for him in a team built to be the best. because he'll only really shine when playing teams who are better than us. for the most part, the teams we play aren't.
i see very few situations where momo is the best option in midfield. he has his uses, but the better the team is, the less those uses are needed.

Hahaha at all this. I bet every ****er on here moaning about Momo playing in front of Mascherano wouldve been on moaning that Mascherano shouldve been rested for the weekend if he had played.
Even if Mascherano had played last night we wouldnt have won. Mascherano isnt a creative player, the kind of player we needed last night. He is just another guise of Momo. And besides, its not like Mascherano has been in world beating form in the last few games either.
Its a ****n joke. We always need one person to blame. Blame all of them. You could not pick out any of the outfield players and say they had a good game. They were all as ****e as each other.
I think Momo should've come off last night because he was the biggest problem in terms of keeping the ball and its what we desperately needed to do. But I said something similar last night. Momo's not the reason we were so crap last night. Virtually every player contributed to that.
But if I was manager he'd have been the obvious change to have made.
It's really hard to diagnose a performance as lifeless as that so soon after Porto and with them all talking the "we'll learn from Porto" bollocks in the Echo.

Well they are squad players that arent getting a game in the first team so by your reckoning they wouldnt play at all would they if the reserves played in the League Cup and we played a first choice 11 every week?
Well given the flack for not playing Torres everyone was screaming for him. Besides without his 3 goals we wouldve gone out. Also, that game probably helped him adapt to our league than any other game he'll play in. It was a right choice to play him wasnt it?
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.
