Crouch isn't good enough to warrant a place in the starting XI
Fabio isn't good enough to warrant a place in the starting XI
Momo isn't good enough to warrant a place in the squad
Sami is gone next summer and isn't good enough to warrant a place in the starting XI
Kewell is always injured and will be gone next window I hope.
Leto is too young inexperienced to warrant a place in the starting XI
      Babel looks about the same.
Pennant is a nifty little player with a decent assist rate but is he good enough to be in the starting XI? Could/should we expect more than 1 goal a season from RM? Squadplayer at best.

We need a class act at LB. We need two class wingers (Right and left). We need a worldclass striker to compliment Torres. We need a good CB as cover. We need to think about RB. Finnan isn't getting younger. Is Arbeloa the right man for RB? Is he really good enough?

I don't know who came up with the bollocks that we had the strongest squad in the PL.

With a rotation happy manager the strength of the squad is crucial. This squad isn't good enough for heavy rotation. I said so since the get go.

Come May you will see what I mean. Some might be able to see it already.
      where will we finish ?

          That's one word.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

fletcher, brown, kalou, o shea, shevchnko, silvestre, and if i thought about it could probably name another dozen that are no better than our squad players

Worse squads have won the League, but the way the team is playing currently i don't think we will be celebrating at the end of the season.

The only strong areas are Central midfield and possibly Goalkeeper (if Carson is counted)

Central defence needs another player to add competition, Arbeloa has been great so far but is not ideal at left back, Riise and Aurelio are unconvincing.

Out Wide more quality is needed the same goes with the forwards with general agreement being Kuyt and Crouch need to be improved upon.
                  We come not to play.

What a load of Bollox a few bad games and suddenly our squad is Kak .. you could set you ****ing watch by it. I bet if Pepe had 2 bad games there would be an army of Gob****es calling him over rated

I think we have the first 11 to win the title but not the squad. Unfortunately any defensive injuries will cost us dear as we seem to have sold ourselves short at the back. We are covered at right back with Arbeloa and Finnan. We probably have the best centre half partnership in the league but are low on cover. Left back is a very weak area of ours and one which certainly needs strengthening. Central Midfield we are fine but I feel we are in need of a top class wide player who is a constant threat and will always cause teams problems when on the ball. I think we are fine with regards strike force.

For me we need: a left back, centre half cover and a winger.

Perhaps Taye Taiwo, Steven Taylor and Ricardo Quaresma.

We have been saying all of the summer that we need two wingers, centre back and another top striker. For me, Voronin isn't a one in three striker, Kuyt doesn't look confident in front of goal and Crouch, well, the less said the better.

Pennant doesn't seem to have the consistancy to play at the highest level. At Birmingham, he might have been one of the best players at the club but when asking a player to make a step up and he can't, it shows small fish- big pond.

Sissoko seems to be lacking in confidence, he now knows he will be rotated and this is seriously affecting his performances. For me, Leiva should get a chance. The player looks like he could do a better job than Sissoko. He can't be half bad if he was South American Player of the Year and Brazil U20's captain.

Hyypia is the sort of player who would do well at a club like Fulham. At this level where Liverpool are expected to play at a high tempo, gamble when going forward, Hyypia looks like he could get picked off when the other team decides to counter us. He got ripped by Julio Baptista. Yeah, Baptista. And I know a lot of the posters will say 'well he had Paletta next to him' but yesterday he had Carragher- whom we regard as one of the best in the country and maybe even on the continent and Hyypia didn't look entirely comfortable. There has been a lot of tactical reasoning to the poor performances since Hyypia has come in like we need to play deeper to compensate for his lack of pace and etc etc and maybe it is true. Maybe our attack is suffering because of the deeper lines we have formed and we can't go kung ho as we usually do against teams because we could be susceptable to the counter.

I would take Fletcher before Sissoko.

                                Sheva before Kuyt, Crouch, Voronin.

Silvestre(if he was fit) before our current left backs in the league.

O'Shea before Sissoko and our current left backs in the league.

Brown and Kalou is the only players that I wouldn't even consider.
