baros was poor and glad we got shut - and crouch is a better player

the crouch slaggin is gettin on me tits now

as for anelka - cant have it fella he gets caught offside far too often and he is not that prolific and last time he was with us i though he was crap tbh - was it 3 he scored ? 2 of them against birmingham ?

but me main bug bear is if you sign someone known as a sulk and generally a bit of a wrong un - you cant complain when it does go wrong ?

the bellers saga will stop rafa from touching anelka with a barge pole

Would he be an improvement on our strikers now? Other than Torres of course.

Last night i was watching the season highlights from 04-05 and i think he scored something like 13 goals. Hardly prolific i know, but i think that's a decent amount for the team we had then.

He has great pace, and was good with the ball at his feet, and to be honest i was a bit disappointed we sold him.

Now i know we're not going to sign him again, but i reckon he would link up very well with Torres, and i wanted to ask everyone the question, should we have sold him?

Maybe i'm and i'm prepared to be flamed, just wanted to know everyone's opinions.

For the record i would sign Anelka.

not intelligent enogh for Rafa and yes we should have sold him. to selfish and unaware of whats round him to be a top footballer....you have to be good as the brazilian ronaldo to get away with that

We need two strikers who can put their foot through the ball.

I really rate Ashton. His EPL goalscoring record is quality, and he very much reminds me of a young Shearer. He is great in the air, but equally good with ball at feet. He has decent pace and is as strong as an ox!!

Oh, and for the record, Baros had undoubted talent, but he never learnt to use it properly in our system and he was far too head down on the ball ever to become the mythical "answer" to our frontline.

He had a fantastic start with Rafa and scored and created a lot of goals but then the goals stopped after his hamstring injury, I think he was out for two months.

He had talent as you said, to bad that he isn't clever enough to use it in the best possible way.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Milan Baros has talent but also a brain the size of a pea, no game intelligence or even a hint of understanding what he's doing.

                      1. Receive ball.

                      2. Lower head.

                      3. Run.

                      4. Repeat until successful.

Haha, that's quite accurate. It's a shame it didn't work out though. He was seen to be the next big thing when we signed him (23 in 76 for Ostravia between the age of 17-20), and his international record is pretty impressive too. Looking back now a £3m profit on him was good business

Baros plays very well with a target man in his national team so I couldn't figure why we sold him when we bought Crouch. Technically a better footballer than Kuyt and Voronin. Also Bellamy was not an improvement on him.
