I dont care about the style of play if we're winning titles.

Mourinho played to Chelsea's strengths and won the league. Yes please.

Not sure how opting for a back-to-back Premiership winner, if we needed to replace the non Premiership winner, would be lunacy.

Thinking with the heart is all well and good but Mourinho knows how to win the Premiership.

If he became manager I would be furious.

He's caused a ref to get death threats, he also lied about what happened to Cech and laid blammed on the local ambulance staff which was total bollocks.

He brings cups to clubs but he also brings shame on clubs I would hate him to become manager of our club.

He has to be top of the list ahead of Ramos and Hiddink on ability IMO. He also has a recent track record of winning things (and in this country). I'm still not 100% sure I would be happy if he took over though.

That is true but to be fair who ever takes over that would be the case. There is no guarentee of success with any manager and to be honest given his budget Mourinho made some crap buys (admittedly he also had some crap buys forced on him aswell) and other than Drogba most of the great buys in his teams were bought in by Ranieri.

I agree he didnt buy brilliantly but IMO we have the squad to do it already.

He'd instill a winning mentality and immense confidence in the side.

Rafa's a miles better tactician. Mourinho's a much much better motivator and man-manager.

To be honest I think we need a new number two rather than a change at the top. Rafa has never been keen to interact too directly with the players. I think he needs to recognise that at times this sort of pschological work is important - I guess when he had people with him who had done it for so long it was not so obvious.

So Jose as number 2 then?

                          They'd both love that.

                            1. we're a massive club who have just been taken over by american tycoons. thay will want a return in terms of winning big. if it was still moores in charge of the club rafa would have as long as he likes within reason. pressure is on now.

                            2. it's a fair question to ask about any club - what will scum do after ferguson? arsenal after wenger? jesus - even spurs after jol?

                            3. there are questions about rafa's ability to get it right in the league that just aren'y going away. the two biggies are whether rotation causes more problems than it solves (i think rafa can get it right there) and, more importantly, has rafa the man-management and motivational capabilities to inspire a very talented group of players?

                            4. there's a type of football that i think all fans love to see being played - attacking, flowing, exciting. do rafa's teams ever deliver this?

with that in mind, why shouldn't we ask who could take over if rafa lost the dressing room or who is out there that we would like to see manage us? and there's no easy answer.

                            Good post mate.

Did Shanklys or Paisleys teams play attacking, free-flowing, exciting football that often??

Its funny how people that don't like rotation say they want Ramos. He rotates a ****load. I don't really want to participate in picking another manager because I'm more than happy with Rafa.

How about Markus Babbel in 4 seasons time.
