If we get any player plus 7 million for Crouchy I'll be satisfied because I still think 7 million is a fair price for him.
OK, if you accept he's an England player then he could probably go for something like 40 million but in actual fact, he's an unhappy player who is not getting his game and is not far off seeing his contract out.

Whether it be Owen or whoever, I won't be disappointed with that, so long as we spend that 7 million on someone who will improve the team, like a good winger.

Ashton would be great, as would Berbatov...but he would be unlikely.

Agbonlahor would also be a good signing although I would suggest that he is a future star rather than being ready for Champions League stardom.


It may not be too late for Crouch, Rafa likes him and stuck by him when he first came here. If he knuckles down he may still have a future.

I've also advocated Dean Ashton in the past but he is now recovering from his 2nd major injury in 3 seasons. He's gone

Mr Iceman, very interesting and it certainly wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility. However, surely it would be Crouch and 7 million for Owen and not the other way round?

I dislike Owen, he's a little judas turd but there's no doubting his ability when fit (which is once in a blue moon).

Well some daft **** has to pay off that obscene contract he has just now.
