Because Mancini is awesome on the left and made his name there. I'm not saying he'll never play on the right for us IF he signed, but the left wing is where he shined for the last two years.

I think that he will play on the right if we sign him. We are being linked with Menez and he plays on the left.

I think Rafa will play a five man midfield after the January transfer window if we sign a new right and left winger.

Prefer if we got Nasiri or Modric than Manicini - struck me as money grabbing, with his multiple "com-em get me pleas" for any club who was willing to double his wages or give him a signing fee (aka Malouda - where is he now at chelsea)

yup, I was a bit underwhelemed when I saw the goals, the Defending and keeper were awful. Ok he can hit a mean freekick, but he doesnt look like he has much in the way of pace. Also I get the feeling he'll be a moody fecker (esp as he has just come off strike in Holland) and that is not Rafa's type of player.

As for Mancini and Mendy, dunno, on paper, Mancini will defo improve our wing options, but whether he would fit into English footy is up for debate.

Mancini's main strength is dribbling and cutting inside with his right foot, he scored plenty of goals by doing this from the left. He's certainly capable of playing on the right wing, but I would definitely not label him as a right winger and if he was brought in by Rafa it wouldn't be to play there.

he seems to have had a lot of success as playing part of a front 3 for roma.
