Who's the best Ex-Liverpool player pundit/writer/commentator??
Aldo for me mate. He's an honest pundit as well as a massive fan. He also doesn't appear to have any agendas like some of the others out there. He just says it as it is and isn't concerned if he offends. Legend.....
Aldridge.... If you get a chance to listen to his commenry from Istanul 05 you'll realise why he's the best.... LEGEND
They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!
Redknapp- far too far stuck up his cousins arse (and it is a big arse)
Aldo & Thomo- Equally as Biased towards us- I love it
Dalglish- Legend- treats keys with the contempt he deserves
Rushie- Abysmal but doesn't have a bad word to say against us- Legend
Walsh- average
Mcateer- seems alright on LFC TV
Gary Mac- What a legend, good pundit, talks sense and always backs us, just exactly what those two gob****es Lawrenson and Hansen should be doing.
Mcmanaman- Pretty woeful so far
Manchester. . . WANK WANK WANK
Five Times Baby * * * * *
"The match day experience between now and 25 years ago is worlds apart and deeply anaesthetised, with a large dollop of blatant "**** you" cynicism thrown at us for good measure."- Alunevans
I really like Gary Mac as a pundit, probably my favourite ex. red in this role. Hansen is ok as well, as is, curiously enough, Souness. When Souness is a pundit, he doesn't half talk a good game - I often wonder why he made a poor manager. Man management and power tripping probably.
Paul Walsh is decent on Sky Sports and Thommo is just horrendously biased which, IMO, is class.
Thommo is great on Soccer Saturday
Gary Mac comes across very well educated and articulate
Rush seems like a top bloke
Souness tells it like it is, don't mind that at all as he back his opinions up
Daglish puts Keys down on a regular basis so there
Hansen I've got a lot of time for too
The rest I haven't seen or they're not worth a mention
Whether they do punditry, write a column or commentate......
Jim Beglin? I don't like ITV's football coverage
Lawro? Legend on 5Live-overshadowed by others on MOTD
Alan Hansen? Brilliant- makes Andy ****ing Gray look like an amateur
Barry Venison? Can't remember him that much
Jamie Redknapp? Defends Liverpool but his knowledge lacks
Ronnie Whelan? Decent
Jan Molby? Not seen much of him
Jason McAteer? Funny guy
Steve McManaman? Don't like him as a person and Setanta is ****e
Gary Mac? Brilliant, always loving it when Liverpool win
Ray Houghton? Wee bit boring to listen to
Ian Rush? Doesn't come on mainstream tv as much
Phil Thompson? Meh
David Fairclough? Decent column, decent knowledge of the reserves
Alan Kennedy? Good guy, seems like a good person to talk to
Graeme Souness? Legend but sometimes he does get his thoughts muddled up
Kenny Dalglish? Class
John Toshack? Don't like him
Gary Gillespie? Meh
John Aldridge? Brilliant guy
Nigel Spackman? Awful
Paul Walsh? Decent, nowt special
