**** or not, he would improve our first 11 no end.

And I didn't see him dive once watching the last England game - in fact there were a few times he could have probably gone down but didn't. And we are being somewhat hypocritical when our captain is getting a bad rep recently for going down a little easily......

For me, Cole behind Torres =

    Always rated him.

As nice bloke as he may be in real life, anyone who resorts to those antics (whether on the pitch or in his personal life) is lacking integrity, as well as obviously being a ****.
Same could be levelled at Gerrard to be fair and he certainly isn't the worst for that by any stretch.

Personally I don't give a **** if he dives he's still a good player, he's got a lot of talent, can play on the left or right, has premiership experience and most off all I think he's matured as a player. I still feel he could bring a lot to our team. That's just my opinion and obviously most people on here disagree with it, everyone's entitled to an opinion.
Robbie had a goodisonectomy, Doctors perform labotomies all the time so why couldn't Joe Cole have a maurineoscopy (sp?) to remove any lasting tell tale remains before Rafa reinvents him into an Anfield legend?

Won't happen though but not a bad shout all the same!

No, it's not just you. Lots of people think Joe Cole is every bit as much a **** as you are.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Surely we should wait and see if Kewell comes good first!

Not that getting Cole is a realistic prospect but we really need to write off Kewell and say if he comes back that is a bonus. The chances are quite small he will ever get back to being a top PL player. I think we need to get in a player to balance the team on the left unless Babel adapts or Aurelio or Riise find some form.

as for diving Heskey before he arrived would go down at the slightest touch.

as for showboating, not the worst attribute a player can have - prefer showboating to being ****.

I personaly thing Cole would improve our team and replace more than what we lost when Garcia left.

As for if he's a **** I don't know him but people who do say no.

As for someones comments on him trying it on with a blokes miss's then that would rule out 90% of players we can sign.

FWIW I think that Cole has almost eradicated this from his game. He is now a very good player at keeping posession and rarely seems to use tricks for any other purpose - to the detriment of his ability to beat people in my opinion but it has made him in general a much more reliable player.

The **** comments were obviously referring to his on-field antics and were not meant to be attributed to his bahaviour/personality off the pitch.

That aside, these are fair shouts, but of all the players I've seen at Anfield in the last few years I would say the worst antics have been Joe Cole's. I don't think I've seen anyone else so persistently diving to win free kicks, protesting innocence and going on at the ref when he gives away free kicks, and generally try to cheat us at Anfield on a more regular basis than him. And it's not just once or twice, it's every game. May be there have been worse offenders at our place, but I honestly can't think of them.

I have no idea what he's like outside of football and I'm sure he is a good, genuine bloke. Fair play to him. But judging by his antics on the field he has no integrity and acts in a very "un-Liverpool-like" manner. I'd like to think there's no place at Anfield for those kind of antics.

As for our players who have dived, yep, can't disagree with you. Some of their antics have embarrassed me, although I certainly wouldn't put them in the same bracket as Cole. To be honest there are few of our players who go down too easily and I'd like to see it cut out, but again I don't think we have any offenders as bad as Cole. Up to the players to take responsibility, and maintain their integrity.

I'd like all our club and all our players to have integrity - it's what our club is all about. I think our manager has it, and I think most of our players do, and it's why I wouldn't want the likes of J. Cole or Mourinho for that matter at our club (unless they change their ways). I would like to think that the values and principles of the club are more important that that. I would hate to see us ever get the reputatution Chelsea have, and be laughed at when referred to by their manager as "pure and naive" with regards to the negative aspect of the game. Hard but fair is the way to play the game a la Souness.

For what it's worth I think Cole would improve our side in a key aspect in which we are lacking. If you put aside the fact that sometimes he showboats when it's not needed, that sometimes his judgement/decision-making is poor, doesn't work hard enough defensively etc there's no doubt he could add something we are sorely lacking. But I'd hate to have someone at our club who got regularly involved in the kind of antics that would tarnish our reputation.

Foetus faced **** of the highest order. Given the choice, I would rather spend the weekend locked in a lift with RS4 and his joke book than watch Joe Cole score at Anfield.

                            totaly with you on integrity

Heskey dived for ONeil like there was no tommorow and Ged virtually stopped it.

Worst player I've seen at Anfield is Frabregras he kicks off the ball
