Only Pacman and Fredo. And in both cases they richly deserve it.

Btw, it's not meant seriously.Although actually, in Fredo's case, it is. And in Pacman's too.

      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Yes - I agreed with both sentiments entirely.

The ultimate objective is obviously to win the league...how we do it isnt a priority for me.

I dont think Rafa's type of rotation is the way to do it, mind. Rotation in a sensible way is ideal. Rafa rotates for the sake of rotating.
Put yourself in Rafa's shoe's this week. Who does he play? Remembering some of our players maybe not be quite 100%. Infact you could assume most are far from 100%. Whatever team Rafa picks this week, if we lose he will be blasted for his selection of players. Yet we have no idea of their condition?
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

It's not just about THIS week though, is it?

Not for me, thats for sure.

Draw or lose this week and Rafa will get the internet towelling that is expected this year IMO. It pisses me off, full stop.

Fact is a loss tomorrow will bring on a media reaction way beyond what it deserves. A draw tomorrow will be a good result IMO>

I think you missed my point.

It's not about this week, it's about previous weeks where Rafa's ****ed about and got it wrong...costing us crucial points.

You used this week as an example, to say that Rafa's in a no-win situation and i'm saying this week isnt the issue, it's previous weeks where there's been little or no need for daft rotation, and yet he daftly rotated. And rightly got a towelling for it.

                      No you missed my point.

You have banged on about Rafa's poor rotation. Infact you have been fairly critical for some time. All good, but you have unnecessarily brought up Rotation for no reason other than to beat Rafa with. For me that is towing the media line.

Rafa will be at LFC till the end of next season at least, absolute minimum. Most likely for the next 5 years + .

What we need is Agger and Alonso back. Kewell would be nice too.

I missed no point, you missed mine entirely.

And no, it's not 'towing the media line', it's thinking that leaving out key players for little or no reason gives us less of a chance of winning games...as has been proven.

Maybe you should stop towing the RCNDW brigade line...

Hold on....so despite the bucketloads of cash we've spent, all it takes is losing Agger and Xabi, and we turn ****e? Oh great(!)

And Gerrard and Momo playing poo. Let's face if your CMs can't retain or regain the ball then you are hardly likely to win.

BTW I think the rotation thing is a bit of red herring. It's the easy cop-out. While it may upset a few players, it won us the CL, got us our highest points total ever and Rafa used it to good effect on his way to two titles in Spain.

It won us a CUP competition, no qualms with that. Our highest points tally ever is lovely, but it doesnt win the title.

'Red herring', 'cop out'...all very intelligent terms. The FACTS however, seem to support my viewpoint that it wont win you the league.

I reckon we will win the league:bird::bird::bird::bird:
