That said he did used to annoy me - he had a phase when he simply could not stop diving. Then he started to be dead complimentary about us and I started to like him again (having been a fan when he was at West Ham).

Anyway, we're football fans FFS - we all reserve the right to be as fickle as possible. It's the law, the nature of the game.

I met him a handful of times, more than 5 but less than 10 kinda thing, and chatted to him a bit on each occasion - he didnt know me from Adam, but was alwasy really genuine and friendly, came across as someone who had time for people that he had no need to talk to.

He was also often in a position whereby plenty of seriously tasty and scantily-clad young ladies were throwing themselves at him, and unlike most footballers, he wasnt lapping it up or anything, but just politely declined and kept himself to himself.

Very friendly, respectful and down to earth lad. But that was back then - before he'd spent time at Chelsea FC

Sid, I know you bang on about how much you spend on the reds, I know how much you bang on about having loads of money to throw round on bets too, but you are a ****e fan. Its not oot`ers that i dislike, its oot`ers with no ****in passion for the club whatsoever.
All you display for our club is cold, calculated, depressing pessimism. Thats not what being a passionate red is all about and I for one cant stand having the likes of you following my club.

I think for the most part Paulcooper4 was one of those who made the site so funny and enjoyable. He was a little rash at times, but that was part of his charm. Gutted he got banned.

It was funny for about five minutes, but after that...well, each to their own, but swearing on the web, funny? Really?

What did he do for an encore, knock on people's front doors and run off?

I didnt mind the guy to be fair, he was harmless enough. I just never found him to be as hilarious as others obviously did.
