However, it has been reported in many publications on many occasions that there is an asking price and we do have first refusal. If that wasn't true, then I'm sure Joorabchian would have set the record straight by now.
Hmmm, I'm not so sure, he'll only do what benefits him and his company, he didn't set the record straight with West Ham until it suited his interests.

And why would it be in his interests to let every newspaper, sports network and website in the land report set the value of his asset against his wishes?

Why wouldn't he go on record immediately?

Just pay him whatever him and his owner want, would be a nightmare scenario if we dont get him permanently and he goes to Barca, let alone the mancs or arsenal.

Id go as far as £25m if it was up to me, i dont really see anyone else better than him in this position and hes only 23 - has already settled. it would be well worth it if you ask me

Besides, i dont really think theyre asking for something like that anyway...

              i imagine he'll go for around £15m to £20m

I agree we should do a lot to keep hold of him, but there's only a certain amount you can go up to for a player, and for me anything above 20m is too much. At the end of the day he's a holding mid, if it as an attacking player who'll create score 30 goals a season, theni'd go above 20m, but there's very few in the world imo worth that amount of money

Liverpool set sights on Messi. Stalemate then, let's stick as we are.

Yes, I heard you were into that.

No way they would let Messi go of course.
