What do you think our players are currently worth?

I dont mean how much would a tabloid hype their values to, i mean what would they genuinely fetch on the market if they were sold?

Reina - £11m
Finnan - £1.5m
Agger - £9m
Carra - £6m
Riise - £4m
Arbeloa - £3m
Aurelio - £3m
Hyypia - £1m
Kewell - zero (contract up in Summer 2008)
Gerrard - £38m
Torres - £28m
Voronin - £3m
Benayoun - £5m
Alonso - £9m
Crouch - £10m
Pennant - £4.5m
Kuyt - £7m
Babel - £10m
Masherano - £17m
Lucas - £5m
Sissoko - £5m

I think there may be a bit more negative equity in Babel at the moment in the same way as Walcott with Arsenal.

Masch for me hasn't done anything to warrant a £17 mill price tag just yet.
Still a good player though.

Pennant still proves that we need to purchase in January.

Babel would fetch similar to what we paid IMO. And Masher would have all the top clubs in europe after him, i think he'd fetch the best part of £20m purely because of the high demand there'd be.

It really depends on the purchasing club but you should at least add 2 million pounds to Arbeloa.

I'm not sure that Arbeloa is rated that highly outside of Anfield yet. He may never be though, he's very much the solid but unspectacular type. Great signing.

I reckon Babel will end up being one of the five worst transfers of this season in the Premiership.

Long-term of course could be a different story, but considering the money we paid only Anderson looks to be a bigger "patience" signing.

Definitely. A £9m valuation perhaps is taking the negative Alonso hype in these forums too closely to heart. In the real world he would be worth a lot more.

Reina - £11m fair enough - buffon was just a stupid price
Finnan - £1.5m
Agger - £9m lots of teams need central defenders and we surely have one of the best
Carra - £6m i agree on price but he would never play anywhere else
Riise - £4m to Portsmouth?
Arbeloa - £3m by the end of the season would be 5 or 6
Aurelio - £3m should be 6 or 7 except for injuries
Hyypia - £1m agreed but prob free as a thankyou

Pretty sure Agger would fetch more than £9m!! Personally, i'd value him closer to £20m, but i'd be surprised if there were no takers if he was available for say £15m!!
