After being criticised by the Ukraine national coach Oleg Blokhin for being overweight, Andriy Voronin has been working hard in the gym this week to regain his match fitness...

Since moving to Liverpool, Andriy has been on a low cholesterol diet devised by the club's new fitness trainer, Pacman Alottoscran, of scouse and chips, jam butties and Cain's mild. Andriy said "Pacman is my inspiration. I am working like the **** every day to get a body like his."
Club Manager Rafa Benitez commented "Voronin is an intelligent player and every Saturday evening he sit and watch a match on 'Football First' with a bowl of tortilla chips, no? Some days I ask him to sit on the sofa, some days he sit in the armchair and others he sit on the bench but he gives me possibilities and I like to keep him fresh for 'Match of the Day' at 11 o'clock."
Liverpool FC spokesman Ian Cotton said "**** off".
