gerrard turned up in the second half if you ask me.
it was a big call by the gaffer, and had phil neville not done a neville southall (see what i did there?) lucas would have scored the winner
its ****ing liverpool fc, not steven gerrard fc and i for one am ****ed off that our whole ****ing build up and post match is what steven gerrard does, where he plays, if he scratches his arse, if he picks his nose, or if he bothers to play as well as he can for 90 ****ing minutes.
well done rafa. you're the ****ing boss, its your ****ing neck on the line and good for you.
we were ****- stevie included, but how many saves did reina need to make?

Rafa showed balls today.Originally posted by el matador View Postbenitez was very very lucky today. If he had lost this game and then had negative results against besiktas and arsenal his position would be questioned by the board no doubt.
We never sacked our managers unless it was the absolute last resort. Dont forget that the old regime of Moores and parry no longer run liverpool and there is a higher authority that demands success. The well of patience is not bottomless and Benitez probably doesnt have as much time as he thinks.
Nevertheless, take a deep breath lads and lets keep the faith
He took off Gerrard who hasn't played well in about six weeks, and put on a player whose shot resulted in Neville P being sent off and a match winning penalty to us.
I'm not in the RCDNWB but he's sure got big balls.Everything is Politics

It's about Liverpool FC, not Steven Gerrard.

Exactly. Stevie wasn't setting the world alight with his performance today (apart from winning us the peno). To be fair to Stevie, he seemed to take it on the chin.Originally posted by Flake View PostRafa showed balls today.

I agree but Gerrards drive is what brought us back into the game. Momo should have been taken off for Lucas. If Gerrard was having a shocker like Finnan or Momo then yeah no problem with Rafa taking him off, it was just a really strange decision.Originally posted by carrsim View Postits ****ing liverpool fc, not steven gerrard fc and i for one am ****ed off that our whole ****ing build up and post match is what steven gerrard does, where he plays, if he scratches his arse, if he picks his nose, or if he bothers to play as well as he can for 90 ****ing minutes.

Obviously taking gerrard off was the right thing to do. Our passing and link-up play was better, lucas caused the winning pen. Rafa was proved right.
Btw. just got a text off my mate, right behind the goal, lescott leaned into carra and then threw himself on the ground. It wasn't a pen at the end.

Subbing Gerrard instead of moron Sissoko. How can you reason that?
3 points
stevie with a point to prove in the next 2 massive games
momo given a confidence boost by not being subbed at half time (when he could have been)
