Yes and no. We weren't missing them out of misfortune, but out of ****e finishing.

Yes, that's our main problem. We should have won more games.

We were let down yet again by poor quality finishing. We got the rub of the green with the ref decisions. Also Rafa made a decision which on the face of it worked. The bottom line though is we are muddling through our games. We haven't played well since the beginning of Sept. Luck, a couple of wins here and there and plenty of draws will not win us the league. Something radical has to happen soon. We must come to terms with our best eleven and best formation. We shouldn't be tinkering so far into the season. This is Rafa's squad now. It's time we pushed on and squashed all these small clubs and started regularly beating the other top clubs such as Chelski, Arse and Manure. Rafa's record against them is still woeful.

We got lucky that the decisions went our way. On another day they could have had two penalties, only a yellow card, and Kuyt could have been sent off. However we still deserved to win because of the chances we created. Luck is a part of the game. We were unlucky against Chelsea and lucky against Villa and Everton with decisions.

People are not happy because they want more, they don't want to settle for 2nd best again. That means crushing these smaller clubs and not just fudging through the games. By anybodies standards we have been poor for a number of weeks. We need to up our game to compete for the top spot and not just win the odd game in 3. It's frustration for most as much as anything. We allegedly have a fantastic squad but yet again our top players are cruising.

another reasoning behind taking Gerrard off and not Sissoko maybe the fact that without gerrard there Lucas took that position by the scruff of the neck, with Gerrard there he may not of been able to play as a high up the pitch or gerrard/lucas may have been running for the same balls.

Yes we are undefeated but even that isn't good enough these days because we are already 6 pts behind Arsenal. We may go on and win the league but on the showings in the last 5 or 6 games that is a pipe dream. After the Chelsea game we looked the real deal but yet again it has looked a false dawn. People are just worn down with frustration.
