I'm obviously being totally radical in expressing my unhappiness at results like that. How dare i...

We should all be delighted at dropping those points and, at the very least, if we're not happy about it, we daren't say so.

That is so wrong of us....
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I very much doubt any fan was happy with those results however most of us can see that results like that happen throughout the season to ANY team not just Liverpool. However to keep talking about them now weeks after they have happened just after we have beaten our bitter rivals really confuses most of us. It's not as if we have just been beaten by Everton we won the game yet week after week day after day some people want to bring up the draw against brum and spurs why? Those games are gone lets look forward to Arsenal.

I bet every single Liverpool fan was pissed at those results, but some can see the bigger picture, unlike you with your pessimistic outlook on everything.
The bigger picture is that it needs to improve and hopefully will.

That doesnt negate the fact that the league is very competitive and unless we utilise our better assets on a regular basis, it's less likely that our fortunes WILL improve enough to win the title.

It's a no brainer - play inferior players and you DO lessen your chances of winning. Do you disagree?

I was Sarb24 on that too. Then I came back as Punjabi1. Me and Marcus used to post on there against the norm that some of the regulars didn't agree with. Then the likes of someone called Alpha made a big point of it and I ended up getting kicked off (I'm sure Dunk didn't need a reason). Second time I got booted because Dunk made some racist remarks that I picked up on and I slated him for it

No I don't disagree, but at the same time you can't play your 11 most superior players in every game, you have to chop and change to some degree in this day and age. And Rafa has proved at Valencia he knows how to do this effectively.

Well i guess that depends on whether you think our current team/squad is capable of winning the title, or at least, running the winners very close.

              I do.

If i'm right, then we should do better than you've highlighted above.

The point though, is that our form needs to improve HUGELY at home, because 25% home win ratios wont win league titles. So we HAVE to improve that enormously, to have any realistic chance. What's happened thus far isnt good enough, 1 win in 4 isnt good enough.

What do you disagree with in that??
But we can't have everything right. We've improved our away form, and obviously we've not started as well at home this season but I expect that to change. At least I'll give the lads more time to rectify that situation. Now is not the time to hit panic buttons.

As long as the discussions are rational (whether we agree or disagree is academic) and we're not insulting our fellow forum posters, everything is fine, just as AFII correctly pointed it out in this thread.

I've been called an 'idiot' a '****' etc... which I haven't responded to many times. It's not the way to do things. We all have different opinions and probably won't change. We should all retain our personality, because it's worthless if it's not the case.

I know you cant play them every game, you have to select the right games.

And that's where 'intelligent rotation' comes in. Something i've been referring to. It's not the rotation itself that's a problem, it's the fact that some of it hasnt been intelligent rotation.

For example, dropping Gerrard and Torres at Pompey wasnt intelligent. Pompey away isnt the game to drop them.

Brum at home is a different story, and whilst i've pinpointed that game, i cant really have a pop at Rafa for his team selection, because the side he picked should've been good enough. Whether that takes us to questions of motivation, is another story.

Reading in the CC was also a silly one. Yes Torres played and scored a wonderful hat trick, but even now, i dont think he should've played that game.

Most away games will require our matchwinners, shy of maybe the promoted sides and relegation fodder. Even then, that's only a maybe.

Rafa doesnt seem to rotate on those lines, he just rotates in an almost functional manner, like it's player x's 'turn' to miss out. He doesnt seem to take into account the actual game and level of difficulty attached to it.

That is a concern for me and ultimately, if it continues, i think it will damage our title bid considerably. If he changes it, i think we have a very good chance of winning the league.

I'm not hitting panic buttons mate. But what i AM doing is saying that we need to identify the problem NOW, before it is too late.

Thing is, i'm not sure Rafa HAS identified the problem, or if he has, i'm not convinced he's willing to change his train of thought, in order to rectify the problem.

It's like anything, to solve the problem, you need to admit it and identify it quickly. That's what i would like to see happen before it's too late.

Ending up 10 or more points behind isnt 'running the winners close' IMO.

I do think also we have the squad and the experience needed to win the league this season. It's the hardest part, psychologically, to win the league for the first time. That's why it's important that fans should stick with the team when they're playing ****e. Edginess in a players game is detriment to us playing well. That's where our full support (even though we think things should improve) is essential. That's not implying we're part of a RCDNW brigade.

Ah well, being a passionate fan can be difficult sometimes.
